    I got called "ma'am".

I'm ventured out to the movie to see Escape Plan and the guy at the ticket counter asked me, "How are you, ma'am?" It caught me off guard. Surprised me. He looked at me at couple of times. The girl that took my ticket just smiled and said enjoy the movie. Despite the rain and no umbrella, I guess I got in ok. At least it was a slow night being Halloween. Hope it's as good a movie as they say. Happy Halloween all!!

Wow, it's great to get the first "Ma'am", isn't it? Hope the movie was great.

A quick look by someone behind a ticket counter would only recognise the hand and money being offered.
The usherette would have more time to survey you but girls smile at each other all the time on eye contact.

It is a unique feeling to hear someone call you ma'am when you are dressed as a lady. It so validates all the effort you put into looking good and presenting properly. I had it happen once a long time back. I had on a nice blouse and a long skirt with heels of course. I tripped and fell leaving a store and I had a couple of folks rush up and say "Are you okay ma'am?' I was a little sore and embarrassed by the fall but I felt great otherwise.

My desire is to create an illusion that is a compliment to all women.
It is meant to uphold and celebrate their presence and beauty.

I was in a bistro in France a few years back. The waiter approached me and addressed me as Madame, before taking a second look and apologising profusely. I laughed it off and was internally flattered, not least given that I was not dressed and was presenting as male.
