One night in Vegas, what to do?

I have one night in vegas to go out(with my lovely wife), but not sure what to do. I am not much of a gambler, nor am I in to the club scene, and I don't drink. I know, that doesn't leave a whole lot, which is why I'm seeking help. I would like to go somewhere that I get dressed up without looking out of place, but if it comes down to it I could do casual, and just wear jeans, but that seems like a waste of an evening out. Any suggestions? I wanted to go see Penn & Teller, but their show is closed the night that I'll be there. I was thinking possibly David Copperfield or Blue Man Group, but wasn't sure if either were worth the near $100 tickets(times two), and I'm sure I would be overdressed unless I wore the jeans.
    Thanks!

I would think that you could enjoy Freemont Street dressed however you want. They have 3 stages setup with live music most nights. The "D" Hotel and Casino has been remodeled recently and they have the world famous "American Coney Island" or the Detroit famous "ANDIAMO STEAKHOUSE".

Also there is the Neon Graveyard Tour, which is just up the street from Freemont too. It is really neat and I am fairly certain they wouldn't care how you were dressed as well.

Last time I was there I had a great time visiting these locations very afford-ably.

Stay on the Strip and see a Cirque du Soleil show. O, Ka, and Love are all great.

I've seen many women dressed up (as in not casual wear) for shows, so that should be ok. Many will be tourists but some will be going to clubs and such afterwards so style of dress will vary and you should have quite a bit of latitude. Too bad Penn & Teller will be dark, they stay after the shows for photos with the audience until everyone who wants a turn gets one (at least they did when I saw them many years ago).

Half price ticket kiosks are all over the strip with discounted "day-of" show tickets, so you can often get a deal if you take the risk of waiting until the day of the show to buy tickets.

Fremont street was another great suggestion. Its a little more blue collar than the strip but I've been there a number of times with no problems.

I've been lots of places in vegas, go about once a month, plenty of "mainstream" places, and especially anywhere people work for tips have always been treated well.

See "Absinthe" at Caesar's Palace. By far, the best show in Las Vegas. Get VIP seats for a few dollars more. You will almost be on stage. Do not pay full price for tickets - use Tix4Tonite. If you do not feel comfortable being dressed at a show, see early show, change into female attire, and go out to eat then walk around casino.

So many things to do so little time.
No need to book a hotel room for one night, just stay up for 24 hours....
Things like the Neon Graveyard Tour and even just a walk along the strip looking at the Volcanoes, Pirate ships, dancing fountains and and even inside looking at the Casino decor.
Paris, New York, Eygpt, I could go on.
Then finish with a four dollar breakfast at about four in the morning.

Put a dollar in the giant slot machine and donate it to the poor casino owners.
You may even get a return from it.

There is no such thing as one night in Vegas.

Ok, how to do Vegas in a day? Limit the time to travel is going to be the key. Downtown, Fremont Street has many things to do quickly. As for a show check out Divas. Look at my link... http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/...as!&highlight= Great show for the price. This is on the strip so you can see the sights and then enjoy the show. Most of all have a great time!

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions! Unfortunately, it looks like my plans may get canceled(for now). We are having a bit of a family emergency, and it looks like the whole vacation is going to get scrapped for this year. And the real bummer is we are all packed!
