The things we do to be feminne!

Today is a femme day for me. Waxed my eyebrows (ouch!), put on my longline bra (confining!), put on my 4" heels (my feet are already killing me!), clip on earrings (pinching!) as well as makeup, nail polish, peasant top with cami, ladies jeans. You know what? I feel terrific!

    Hi Bethany,

You know the old saying "No pain, no gain". I guess the pain/hassle of getting all girly is worth the gain of feeling good about ourselves.

    Bethany,

Enjoyed your commentary and gave thought to adding items you mentioned to my collection as well. Femme day for me is a day off with the wife at work, and time to let the imagination soar. Hope to someday have the finances and the opportunity to acquire garments that fit,and heels in my size. Clip on earrings might do for right now.

Its so funny how much I enjoy getting pretty, yes it takes time to get it right, but as my wife and I were talking and no she doesn't accept Leigh,
I told for me its fun, its like only I can imagine how a little girl feels playing dress up. I told her now why would a guy like something like that and I just don't have the answer.

I agree with Isha, it is funny my wife complains about having to do all that and i love it???? She always says "your crazy, in time you wont think it is so great". I always say " i doubt that!"

I agree, it's always worth it! Sometimes maintaining everything (especially hair related stuff) can be a total drag.. but after the transformation is done and I'm walking in those heels.. it is absolutely fulfilling!

So does that make us all just masochists??

No worse than a session at the gym, I suppose... or running 10km.... or endless meetings and conference calls...

OK - but I vote for: plucking eyebrows a few at a time; a comfy bra; heels that fit; and now a large glass of cabernet as a prophylactic anaesthetic ...

My hair stylist once said to me, "They say beauty is pain, but you take it to a whole new level!"

I took that as a compliment.

We are all just a bunch of masochists.
    Work on your elegance,
    and beauty will follow.
