Shameless self-promotional post, but I'm really excited and gotta share: I finally got up the courage to spill the goods to my wife.

Her response? "Shopping!"

It went better than I imagined. She wasn't put off by it at all, and seemed excited. Did I mention shopping is her preferred sport? Surprised me by asking "are you interested in having sex as a woman?" Whoa, well, *ahem* wasn't planning on it, but gee you sound enthusiastic... let's walk before we run.

So relieved. Lol she sounds more confident about it than I am!
I can shave my legs now!

Yeah, I know what you mean, I wondered if she might be putting on some bravado. I did probe how she felt about it, if she might have misgivings about seeing me dressed, etc. Her responses, if anything, sounded like she was trying to put me at ease, it seemed sweet.

One of her childhood friends transitioned FtM a few years back, and we keep in regular touch with him, so we're not really strangers to gender questions. Of course this was different - hey, I'm the guy she married.

The next mental hurdle will be letting her see me in makeup. While still somewhat basic, IMHO, I look better with it than without...

Also, she would know, but would be confused, even, believe it not not, might think you are having an affair. well, in a way you are, but the irony would be it would be not with another woman, but with your own girl..

Her is a little story, true, for you. I am a pretty smart guy, an engineer; don't you think, I would know to pull out my ruler and replace that white slip back in her drawer exactly as I found it? Then how come one day as she left to go visit her mother in another town, did she say the following. "Tom, please stay out of my lingerie" Huh? What the heck? These wives of ours are not stupid.

My point is, she will find out, and that is a fact. So the man who does not tell, is on a fool's errand.

That was it. We've had a real honest relationship for the last several years, and this secrecy was very uncomfortable.

Point taken. I've read a number of sites where people stressed that your spouse married you as a man, and that she has a right to you as a man. I try keep my masculine wardrobe and grooming up to date, because I believe I have an obligation to stay attractive for her. Her initial positive reaction notwithstanding, I don't wish to blur the line in guy mode.

Awesome. I know my wife loves me and is doing her best to try to accept me, but has a very hard time going shopping with or for me, and while I know I get so much more turned on when dressed for sex, she would prefer I not be. When i told my wife about my crossdressing she was very excited as well and the first time she seen me fully dressed i ask her to do my makeup for me and that opened a lot more doors for us

Beware, when I told my wife she reacted a lot like yours, that was about 37 years ago, she took me shopping that very day. Believe me when I tell you, being married to an enabler can cost you a fortune, we both like to shop for Tina. It's a lot of fun, but somebody needs to hold the purse when the fog (pink of course) rolls in.
