So who is the role-model woman you want to be?

    Have given this much thought...

    who is Vanessa?

what do I want to be portrayed as?

    etc...

But I got to thinking that there are more than several categories of CD women here..

    1) the proper lady

    2) the trouble maker lady:TamaraCroft:

    3) the streetwalking / ****

    4) the business woman

    5) etc..

This post is not about how you are all of these.. forget that.. who cares...(wink).

THE QUESTION IS, which one are you most of the time and are you acting in manner of a role model you knew in the past or present...that is with regards to manners, actions and poise..etc.

I, like most other M2F girls, possess a multifaceted personality as your post suggests. But I would say I am mostly a confident self determined good hearted person who does what she wants with little or no interest or concern for how average normal gendered people perceive or judge me.

I can be charming when I want to be but otherwise am generally aloof, seemingly detached, determined and self satisfied. Underneath it all however I think I am a truly kind and well meaning individual.

In spite of how I just described myself though it doesn't change the fact that we, as social beings need social interaction. The people we socialize with act as 'mirrors'. They inform us about us, who we are, our qualities both good and bad, our character and personality. Without such ongoing interaction we would be largely unknowing about ourselves and lack the means to evolve and refine ourselves.

But doesn't being transgendered in an intolerant society mean we are at a significant disadvantage in this respect? Yes, in general such is the case. So there is great value Interacting with, hanging out with others who are also transgendered. Having M2F transgendered girlfriends would fill the universal need we have to socialize. Provide a mirror of self reflection. Wish I had such friends, but I don't. Sigh...

vanessa i must admit my whole look is based on glamour/porn models from a certain era...say late-80s through to mid-90s. something about that particular look with the hairstyles and the lingerie and shoes etc. all i wanna do is look like those girls did.

yeah i know i'm a sad weirdo. go figure...

I don't like categorizing, that's just like another way to separate out people and say that "I'm better than everyone else" kinda mentality. I am me, and I choose to be who I am and act how I want to at any given moment.

I like to fall somewhere in between the "proper" lady and the streetwalker. Like to act all innocent I guess. At the same time it kind of gives me a thrill to be a little ****ty.
If I could choose one woman to aspire to be it would definitely be Liz Phair. If the sex roles were reversed I would love to be her groupie. Got a thing for female songwriter / rock stars, especially when they actually do rock. There's something really hot about a girl guitar player that can actually play guitar.
    Take that Lisa Loeb.

    I will say it again....
I am my own woman and I am satisfied with my role model.
I do not aspire any other one.

I think Beverley Sims is real great.

Vanny - it's a good point - I think those fantasy ideals are what I started with - and then ultimately a desire to emulate one or more real women in looks, or style or presence.. (I've said on another thread, I used to so want to emulate Debbie Harry )

But Bev has caught more recent reality for me... (Experience does it again, Bev!!! )

The more Katey has developed as part of me; the more she has become a physical presence through transformation and capturing that on video and in photos; that process seems to have substantiated this part of me - whereas previously (guilty secrets again...) an image in a mirror is somehow not as real. If I look now at how I feel about how I dress and present; sure, it's still a fantasy and fun to be glam, t*rty, smart, Catwoman (!) whatever - but the more I make an effort to make Katey real, the more her/my own choices come into play.

Katey just ends up being herself... that can't be bad, can it?

For me I see myself as a classy sophisticated upscale lady.

Of course that ends at the bed room door where I become a total ****.

I'm definitely dealing with a rockstar. It's kind of hard to narrow it down, but if I had to pick one, I'd say Patricia Day from The Horrorpops. She's got such a beautiful and wonderful style.

I can think of who I would love to look like: Kate Upton.

Role model, I guess I dress more like a street walking /*****. The only time I feel sexy.

This sums me up perfectly. I have a girly-girl side, but I am also a mechanic and I don't mind getting dirty, well I mind a little bit - I don't want to break a nail!

I think Meredith Brooks said it perfectly in her song "Bitch".. I'm pretty much all of the things a woman (and man) can be.. it just depends on my mood.

And I consider all of these things a part of me. So that's who I am and I do not feel ashamed!

Zylia is me in a wig, I don't pretend it's another person with characteristics I don't normally have (beyond appearance of course). As a matter of fact, I deliberately avoid talking about her in third person. I do not really have a female 'persona', I just like to portray myself as the (hotter) twin sister I never had, wearing outfits she might have worn

I'm my own roll model! A well dressed, classy old broad, who works in the library and has a slightly naughty streak.

I would say my role model would be my mother.
She was kind, gentle, loving and in all ways the kind of woman I would love to be.
    I don't wear women's clothes, I wear MY clothes !

I just make it up as I go. It's like every day is a new start with Lots
of possibilities. So, I guess I like trying make up my own style....borrowing
little bits I like here & there and adding my own personal touch.

Kate may very well be the first CD who really is..."doing it wrong"
