Question Are you a bad boy??

My wife and I were discussing male attributes and how some men display theirs. She told me that I was very male. So naturally I asked, "In what way?" She said that my predominant atractive trait was that I was a bad boy. So I'm wondering. Do I crossdress because the bad boy in me loves the excitement and danger of it all? How 'bout you? Are you a bad boy breaking the rules being a girl?
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

I have come to enjoy that part of it that it is outside the norm and feel a little rebellious and free at the same time. I like to make people uncomfortable....in a good way . To stimulate the mind to think outside of their little boxes and ponder the unthought of. That's one of the reasons I grew my hair out long, just to see how many people would have a problem with it, that and I am very rock cultured. I did not grow it out to look more like a girl. Everyone likes my hair since I grew it out except my mom (I think she worries that I might be transgendered) and one of my friends (who I think is very uncomfortable with himself and always tries to overdue being masculine...makes me wonder if he's really trying to cover the feminine side hidden inside of him or if he really just is a deuche)

Probably more of a "bored boy". There's just little that's exciting
about that lately here.....it all seems to be about working and fixing
and making sure and so on and on and on...

My wife has made the same observation, but she went a lot farther than "bad boy." I think you have reasoned out a true motive about the breaking the rules. But I do get a rush from it even to this day, when I don't I'll get mad and quit!

I just never thought of myself as a bad boy. Just your average guy with a sense of adventure. On the other hand, I can be a pretty naughty girl.

interesting thread...maybe some are...and I can relate to the rebellious side of it for sure. For me it was always more of an artsy Andy Warhol kinda thing , I grew up in the drag queen culture of NYC ( without being in drag) ....and always had a passion for painting and music...The art world is extremely accepting of anything...in fact the weirder the better LOL...I guess that explains alot about me being comfortable with dressing. But yea it is definately rebellious in a fun kinda way. Maybe for you Carla its the complete opposite of the " bad boy" and gives you the chance to express the other side....just food for thought.

I find crossdressing as a rebellious act against the sexual common denominator, you can be a bad boy and a naughty girl.
But I don't think myself as a bad boy, because I keep hiding this from the rest and even I'm afraid to date men dressed as a woman. If one day I decide to expose me, then I'll be bad boy enough to affront the consequences.

I was just in a conversation the other day and used that exact term to help explain the motivation to dress.

I haven't thought about it much, but I lived in a very controlled environment. Crossdressing might be a way to rebel against my parents and society. I don't know.

I don't think I'm a bad boy. I never took chances, never rebelled, etc. I think we all have our reasons for crossdressing, I think we have different reasons, and I think for most of us these reasons are pretty complicated and we probably don't understand them.

Also, there are different degrees of crossdressing. Some of us feel like we should have been born female and are attempting to satisfy that need, some of us are acting out a part, and some just like to shock people or attract attention to themselves.

I guess I'm just not that kind of girl. To me, half the "bad boys" are just posers and the other half are losers. I'm just looking for a cool old guy who's rich, has a cool car, and a cookie jar full of Viagra. Oh, that's the other me!

Likewise, Adriana! Especially these days... OOH! This IS an interesting thread!! I was raised in a VERY tough guy environment... Grew up in the hard core punk/metal scene, kinda reckless-bordering-on-self-destructive throughout my twenties... Bad boy for sure. BUT all my closest friends are and have always been women, I'm uncomfortable in the company of other men (unless it's work related)... I think for me, it started as a type of cultural rebellion -- as a guy (Until fairly recently) I was expected to be tough and unemotional. But it very quickly became an expression of all the traits that I so admire in my friends. Exploring my female side has allowed me the chance to blossom into a more well rounded person which is why I have been CDing for so much of my life...

Also, guy clothes are super BORING and having an alter ego is so ... "punk."

I don't consider myself a bad boy... more a wild boy with all the karate and snowboarding.

If you'd ask my mom, she would say I never had a rebellious phase.. never talked back to my parents (unlike my siblings.. but that's a whole other story.. :P ). And I actually don't like breaking the rules unless I find that the rules are unfair.

So, for me.. I guess I'm a wild boy (with all the scars to prove it.. ), who also likes to dress pretty!

I don't think I'm a bad boy, as such... I suppose there is an element of rebellion, but a bigger portion of art...

There are two aspects that go through my mind when dressed and made up - one is that I wonder how many folk who know me would recognise me, and would that shock them - so that's rebellion, I suppose. The second related one is vanity: and would other people think I look good like this? And that's the art side.

Overall though, I'm just me, and I just feel right when Katey gets dolled up and gets out...

I was loved by the girls because I was a good boy that could be transformed into a bad girl.

Some of those girls were really bad.

    I enjoyed it though.

I was the boy who was too good. Not in the "prissy and sanctimonious" sense, but well behaved, polite, good student, never in trouble (and no trouble I didn't just "get away with".) I would have had an easier time if I had been more "human".

When I read about the common themes for the lives of transsexuals, I see that being uncommonly well behaved is not uncommon for "late-onset" MTF transsexuals who might not "know" that they are female but battle against it for decades until non-transitioning is no longer a serious option.

There was a time when I was what you would call a "bad boy" . . . very bad . . . hence the join the military option . I managed to funnel all that bad into my job and have a fun time doing it. Now I am just a guy/gal who likes to live a bit on the edge and I guess dressing and presenting in public still gives me a little jolt.

    Hugs
