What type of male are you... Alpha... passive... or somewhere in between?

I have started to wonder if the fact that I naturally am not an Alpha male makes it more natural to become a cross dresse and I can easily assume the girly girl feminine role. If I had to rate myself from 1 to 10 with 10 being a total alpha... I would give myself a 4... While I'm not a complete pushover... I am definitely not a take charge kind of guy and I do have an attraction to that kind of man. What about you other ladies? Do you feel the same or is dressing up an escape from your Alpha ways?

Personally, I don't believe in such ratings based on supposed evolutionary development. We are higher beings to begin with , so our individual evolutions don't necessarily follow animal patterns. The ultimate being that you don't need to be a follower or a leader, just your own person.

From what I hear, those around me think I am pretty high on that scale. I don't think I am, but then again I do take charge in most projects and situations. I can't stand sitting around and waiting for others to get their stuff together. But then again with sports things, I am possibly the lowest rating on that scale.

So what exactly makes an alpha male with humans?

Thanks for the reply Nadine. Interestingly... I'm probably the opposite. When it comes to sports I think I naturally probably bump up to an 8. At work... Because I tend to work in a tradionally masculine field... I tend to act...big emphasis on act... Like a 6 or 7. If just left alone in a natural state I'm truely believe I am a 4. When end femme... I probably tend to act more like a 2 or 3. Wow... I'm a wreck... Lol

I'd go with a seven in male mode, maybe a 4 in female mode.

I must agree with Kate. I've never been Alpha or Beta. If there was a, "Self absorbed jerk given 2 choices always takes door #3", sliding scale? I'd fit quite well on that chart!

U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

I think Im a 5 I enjoy my manhood but in many ways I do sit in the background. Now my true maleness does come out in my love for sports, football, baseball and golf mostly.
My girly side is very much on display at the mall lol and in really liking chick flicks

While I am fairly conflict averse, I am not in any way a push-over and I frequently step up and take charge when needed. Probably a 7 on your alpha scale. There is also real no difference in my personality when I dress from when I do not.

I don't identify as male but most alpha males I encounter defer to me. I do mean motorcycle, Special Forces, athletes and other high testosterone prototypical alpha males. Don't know why.

I have to admit to a certain bias here.

Big ol' gruff biker with an attitude? I could care less.

Big ol' gruff biker with an attitude and rainbow jewelry in his ear? "Well helloooooo!!"

What's a man now? What's a man mean? Is he rough and rugged? Is he cultural and clean?

For me, the difference between the two is 'threat'. Am I in danger if I let him know that I think he is hot?

I know I shouldn't quote the previous post, but your answer is SO sweet!

Depends on the circumstances! Overall, about 5. Out with two guy friends yesterday, and they started talking about cars. Waitress who was passing said "Are you OK? You loof sort of dazed!" I was. Cars, for goodness sake.

Never really thought about where on the scale I am.
Don't think I can assign a number of any kind.

These are some characteristics of an alpha...

An alpha is a defender, persistent, strong, courageous, entertaining, storyteller, laugh at themselves, humble, educated, chooses their words carefully, charts their own course, hard worker, not a worrier, doesn’t pick a fight, has style, knows who they are, respects people, doesn't try to please everyone, has values, generous, leads by example, learns from failures, passionate about what they do.

Now I see these traits in both men and women to varying degrees. So saying only Alpha male sounds more like a stereo type in my opinion.

Don't suppress who you are inside your heart. Let the world know how special you really are. Don't forget to smile as you share. It will come through in your beautiful words.

    Balanced

I would rate myself a 5. Not the most aggressive person in the world but will stand up for myself when I have to.

Without hesitation I'd say a 10 which is why my urge to dress sometimes just makes no sense at all to me.

I range between 3 and 5, most of the time life is easier when you are not so Alpha. At home if I want my way I step it up to a 5 but most of the time I live at 3.
