I threw all of my male underwear in the trash years ago. Most of my male outerwear went to Goodwill about the same time. I kept a few things for work and church, but most of the time I'm the girl of my dreams!
I have one pair of guy pants to go hunting in and thats it.
I haven't owned any mens ones for 3 years Its great wearing panties 24/7
Underpants . . . am I suppose to wear those as a guy?

Using a pair if scissors seems more like a political statement.
Much easier to use them as dusters or oil rags.
Not so wasteful.
Retire them gracefully and with dignity.
If not, a bit of a fanfare and celebration toast to days gone by.
I never miss an opportunity for a party.

I haven't cut mine up, but I haven't worn them in at least six months.

That is one of my favorite Bug's Bunny cartoons. Plus I have a couple of pairs of men's briefs,but have not worn them in a few years.
