I'm back in my hometown of Athol Massachusetts to talk to my youngest son and my brother about being transgender. I flew up on Thursday feeling really good about myself. I'm glad I took the advice of everyone and flew as my true self. I was nervous but it was really a non-event. Never an issue or a negative comment and everyone was professional and courteous.
When I got to my mothers house she just hugged me and greeted me as usual and never said or did anything she wouldn't have otherwise even though it was the first time she has seen me as her daughter. I feel so loved and blessed and so fortunate my family accepts me for who I am and I have not received one negative comment. Both my son and his wife and my brother never balked or batted an eye. Both told me they loved and the visits went on as normal. Why did I ever worry?
Looking forward to moving on with the rest of my life.
Now for boobs...LOL!
