I wanted to share a funny story:
I have a (men's) black dress shirt that I've owned for a long time but only wore recently, in part because I didn't think it was my style. When my wife saw me wearing it yesterday, she told me the story of finding it in the laundry the previous week. It was slightly shiny and had subtle stripes, so she asked herself, "What's this? Is this a 'lifestyle' item?" 'Lifestyle' is the codeword she uses for my crossdressing. "Is it a blouse, and if so, can I wear it?" When she checked the tag, she was disappointed to see that it was a men's shirt. I told her, jokingly, that she "better stay out of my closet!" We both had a good laugh over the fact that she assumes anything unfamiliar in my wardrobe is "lifestyle" stuff, and that she wants to borrow said stuff. She said, "It can be like living with my sister. I get to double my wardrobe!"
Happy holidays, everyone!
