Great pictures. Yours show some big differences. Congratulations. I love the frizzy hair look in the 4th one. I love shadow shots like my avatar. I recently took one after my recent visit to the hair salon with my grand daughter and it is comical because my hair is now longer than hers.

Interesting how the shadow displays a significant difference, yet is body shot pictures, we tend to pick at details. Great comparison Anne!

You really are gifted with a camera. Very imaginative. Hope you post black and white pics. There is something about B&W that I never tire of. I think my next pic I use on here will be B&W.

Love the contrasts of shapes. The masculine versus the feminine. Now the outside reflects the inside.

Much better way to live I'm finding. Now all the drama is outside instead of inside, which I can deal with "more or less".

Reading "Whipping Girl" for the third time. It is strange that I "get" more of what she is talking about now. Her words really really resonate with me.

I'm constantly amazed by and at the power of gender identity.

So wonderful how the shadow can show who we are in effect by blotting out the little details that often are the most annoying to us. Really a wonderful way to show the real person as a whole. Great changes dear.

Escapism isn't necessarily bad, but is definitely unhealthy in the long term. While helpful in the short term, things will degrade over time. At some point, the escapee will have to face the issue. Things simply blowing over isn't really going to happen in many situations.

Shadows are deceiving though. I can tell how you managed to manipulate them to show the side you wanted. Which is not such a bad thing but it is still there. The real test of course is hardly with shadows but with real people.

When I first read the title of this name I first thought beard shadow. My shadow got fatter over the three years I've been transitioning. You do look beautiful by the way.
