What would you like to be buried in?

If I saw the end coming, I'd want to buy the most fabulous dress ever- in fact I'd want it made specially for me, preferably by John Galliano.

But if it's a bolt out of the blue, I've already asked my wife to bury me in a pretty pair of silk panties- she can choose which.

    Any thoughts, ladies?
I used to have a short attention spa

I'm going out in a blaze of glory: cremation. No viewing! No sense in wasting a nice dress and slip.

Don't want to waste a great dress. Wear a bra, fancy panties, garter belt and stockings with wig, makeup and painted nails. So if CSI digs you up it will be a tough one for them to solve and might make for a good show.

Pretty much anything as long as I don't have to spend eternity in a girdle or corset!

Ilene West's will specified that she be buried in a lacy nightgown... and her Ferrari! She also specified that the seat be reclined at a "comfortable angle."

I told them I wanted to be cremated. No point wasting money or a new outfit the way I figure it.

Although my wife and I have discussed our ultimate demise and burial we didn't even tough on the subject of what to wear.

I want to be cremated and my ashes buried at sea.

I'll be dead -- I won't know, I won't care. The important thing is to wear the dress now.

    Are you planning the same?

To die a woman. I want to be donated to science, so they can figure me out, and help people in the future.

I also agree with Trish's response...

Give my clothes to a Goodwill Shop...And toss my ashes into my favorite stream and let them find their way into the ocean.

While I enjoy dressing, I don't wish to be buried in anything other than what my family picks out for me. Somebody once told me a funeral is not for the one in the coffin, it is for the ones left behind. If I thought they (my family) didn't give a D*** then I would probably pick something to make my friends smile one last time!

this is pertinent to many considering what happened to the person in this article

I love my family. Every one of them. When it comes time for me to leave them, I want their grieving process to be uncomplicated by any selfish wish I may have.

To answer the original question: Clothe me in whatever seems appropriate to whomever is making the arrangements.

    Best wishes

Hi Nikki, I once told my wife that I wanted to be laid out in my lovely black sequin party dress,

And she said, "Over my dead body" end of discussion.
Having my ears triple pierced is AWESOME, ~~......

Nope, it's a terrible thing to do to a Ferrari. The one in question is worth about $300K today so it's a darned expensive coffin.

When I was convinced a few months ago that I was not going to survive my heart condition, my wife told me she would have me cremated in a dress if I wanted. So, that's the plan. Then the ashes will go into a small wooden boat, set ablaze, and sent to sea.

Due to my country not favouring burial, I'll almost certainly be cremated (standard practice being after the wake). I could care less what I'd be cremated in, as long as I take my guitar with me.

From one New Englander to another...I couldn't agree more.

However, IF I were able to know better, I'd probably say to bury me in something from my closet feminine and respectable with hair and make up to match.
