I don't think most of us mean to ever imply that your life will go to hell if you transition, although it is quite possible. In many cases some of us have a fairly smooth transition.
I had an extremely smooth time of it. Not to say it was easy, no it is the hardest thing I have ever done. But mine was nowhere the tragedy I have seen in others. I try on this forum to show it can be good, and isn't always as bad as you fear, but then again anyone needs to know the risks involved as well. I didn't go into this in order to prove anything and I have found a very happy life.
