    Looking for suggestions

I am looking for suggestions of things to do en femme that don't include shopping, eating (drinking, coffee, etc.) or the bar/club scene. I'm pretty good at those things so far.

As I progress in my dressing, I'd like a few go to things to do where I can go myself and have an simple activity for a couple of hours. It is a decent investment of time for me to spackle on my face and look presentable, so I need an activity worth that time investment.

    Any suggestions?

Do whatever you would do in male mode. Museums, theater, movies, shopping of course, walks in parks, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, train rides to someplace and back, State and National parks, roller skating, bicycle rides, good restaurants, ballet, live performances at a local university or city, indoors and outdoors, flea markets, garage sales, photography excursions that may or may not include pictures of you, auto shows, expositions of whatever products from home to fashion to antiques, Niagara Falls out to Niagara on the Lake for dinner, lunch or when in season there a play, the beach, factory and brewery tours, boat rides, whatever you can find to do that peaks your interest. It really is a lot easier than we think. Unfortunately, if you are like me in the moment of decision, none of those suggestions can be remembered! Go figure. Pick one or more and just do it and have fun. Good luck.

Go to a symphony show. That's one on my bucket list. Open mic night in girl mode is, as well :-)

Go the the library. Go to a movie with a friend or by yourself. Go for a walk around your neighborhood (if that's a possibility... not sure if you're OK with that.)

Well, I can suggest a couple of things. I run errands...groceries, bank, oil changes, Fed Ex, pretty much anything I would otherwise do. For a special outing I like to go to museums during the daytime and to live theatre at night.

Now that the weather has broken I enjoy going to smaller somewhat local greenhouses to pick up some plants and other things for my garden, just being out in the sun and the smells are great. Never seem to have any problem with others there and we all have something in common and small talk is great and relaxing.

It may of course be a bit disturbing to sense that one is really not so firmly anchored to the gender one was born into.

Go to car dealerships and look at cars. Don't waist the sales person's time but wonder around all the pretty cars. You can always ask someone to take a picture next to your dream car and post it on your mirror. Have you thought of taking dancing lessons. Find a place to volunteer your services. A really good place is a charity store that resells clothes. Many are more than happy to have help and some let you buy first in line.

    Thanks girls!!

You all gave me some things to think about. I am just not an idea person.

I have often thought about volunteering somewhere that I can do so dressed, I may have to actually do that.

Uhh, Michelle, I think if I did a boudoir shoot the camera lens might break! Tempting though......

    Kandi,

This is a great question, over the last year I have worked on expanding my venues to go to while en-femme. I use to volunteer at local LGBT Community Center which gave me a lot of opportunities to be out. Since then I have expanded what I do as Patti by starting a book club "LGBT Reads" that meets once a month that has been a real pleasure. I have also done a couple of symphonies and some plays this past season. Art museums are a favorite, I have a membership as Patti and have participated in opening events and other member only events. I have also attended LGBT events at a local collage, some were workshops that included a Friday evening event and 8 AM to 4 PM event on Saturday.

Kandi, since you were ambitious enough to get to S.E. Michigan for a GNO, I can be ambitious enough to go to N.W. Ohio to do something with you.

Here's a fun idea. Try taking dancing lessons. Its a fun activity and nothing can make you feel more feminine than dancing with a strong male lead. Plus, think of it as an excuse to find new shoes

I always wanted to go see a play en femme. It's a good time to dress to the nines and still fit in, plus theatre folk are as accepting as they come.

I would love the amusement park also BUT

as much as I would love to ride the roller coaster....there is not enough tape to hold down my wig....I think I would have to abandon that idea... lol

You seem like a girl who can think on her feet, think where your male side would spend some time and let Kandi do it!
Maybe you need a bucket list for things to do for a couple of hours? Works for me! Have fun.

How about golf. You can even use the women's tees

Hi, I'm Steffi and I'm a crossdresser... And I accept and celebrate both sides of me. Or, maybe I'm gender fluid.

Skiing and Golfing work for me.

Skiing is good as no one recognises you except the person at the lift gates.

Let's see. What have I done en femme? Run errands (post office, grocery, fast food, coffee shop, hardware store, ...), opera, theatre, movies, museum, city park, state park, the beach, take a long walk, Ren Faire, casino, museum village, concert, library, garage sales, do my gardening, golf, play horseshoes or softball in a long cowgirl skirt, amusement park, get a piercing (!!), church in a different city, Sunday brunch, dance recital, antique show, ball game, bike ride, visit the local tourist places that I haven't seen in male mode, take a road trip or an airplane flight en femme, see a bridal show, volunteer work as Abby, ...pretty much the same things that I would do as a guy plus a few more.

I have a membership at the Denver Botanic Garden (DBG), where I hang out sometimes en femme. Someday, I will wear a fancy dress to DBG on a Saturday afternoon, commandeer a young guy, and crash a wedding at DBG or at a big hotel downtown.

I would love to try Lovepink's idea: belly dancing lessons. How I wish I had the courage to do that when I had a great chance five years ago.

Hi Kandi, There must be some great museums around there.
Having my ears triple pierced is AWESOME, ~~......

I can explain it to you, But I can't comprehend it for you !

If at first you don't succeed, Then Skydiving isn't for you.

Be careful what you wish for, Once you ring a bell , you just can't Un-Ring it !! !!
