    Mistaken from behind

Last night at a band gig before doing my roadie duties I was standing alone towards the back of the club.
I had rolled my hair earlier in the day so there were long curls and waves ( very rock and roller style lol).
Got bold and wore my Dress Tech hip pads which are subtle to some degree and ripped up American Eagle girls jeans and blue Converse tennis shoes, black band T shirt.
Now there are a lot of people in the club both men and women and quite busy.
I was standing there and this cute girl in her 20's came up from behind put her hand on my shoulder and said "Hey girl do you know where the ladies room is located?"
I turned and said sure honey its at the other end of the bar on the left.
The look on her face was priceless and she said thanks so much and off she went.
5 mins later she comes back and said I hope you weren't upset me calling you girl a few minutes a go.
I said no not at all its OK I get that a lot. She smiled well you have pretty hair and thats why I assumed you were female.
She said I'm soo embarrassed can I buy you a drink? I said thats not necessary and she said I insist.
We go to the bar find some stools and sit and chat for about 30 min.
Life is fun if you just embrace it.

Tracii, nice story and way to go. Yes, it is all fun if you embrace it and go with the flow. Never know who you could meet.

So very well said and basically how I am living and enjoying my later years' life. Thanks for putting it so succinctly.

Our chat was nice and I'm pretty sure she figured out girls weren't on my radar.
Maybe that put her more at ease or depressed that I wasn't interested in slipping out the back door with her.

I'm sure you enjoyed that but it would have been embarrassing if it had led to you going to her place afterwards and you had to take off your "hips".
