Saikotsu I have had ladies comment on my choice of nail color so I tell them the brand and color code on the bottle.
Had two black ladies at the grocery comment one time so I told them the color code.
They had no problem with a guy painting his toes and fingernails and thought it looked great.
The older lady running the checkout is used to me coming thru her line and she always chats me up on hot new nail colors to try.

Had this happen a few times when out once after church I went shopping and 2 ladies came up to me and how nice I looked and where did I get my outfit. Then once at the casino had a lady ask me about my heels and where I got them.

I just realized I had this happen to me as well, I was en drab wearing a Duvetica puffer jacket (a guys jacket but androgynous leaning on the femme side) so didn't think much of it at the time. She was a receptionist at a Dr. office ... "I love your jacket, where did you get it!?"

I bought a Girls camo winter coat with a wool collar and I have had 3 women tell me they love my coat.
    Funny how that works.

Awesome! I'm trying to work up the courage to show off my nails more. I've got such a big collection of colors. its a shame to hide them.

The child teaches the elder. Cool. That's a memory card I'd turn over every time you encounter someone insensitive or unkind.

aw that's such a lovely story Tracii. Wonderful to find such positive accepting people. I don't go out in the day time much at all. On a rare occasion I got fully dressed and went shopping in London. I was in a lingerie dept when a lovely staff member approached me with a smile and asked if I needed help. At first I blushed and felt embarrassed but asked her about bra sizes. She was so lovely and helpful and as I was walking away from her towards the checkout she asked me where I got the maxi skirt I was wearing (it was a silk designer one) and she said it was gorgeous. I just wanted to give her a hug and slip my skirt off and give it to her (the skirt I mean...). Was such a lovely moment

In my early years I had girls ask me when shopping. The SAs would ask where I bought the dress or what ever. In recent years I had the woman cutting my hair, who did your nails? I had a couple we were eating with ask where I got my jacket one night. I played off and said I didn't remember. She jumped up and looked at the tag. I've had several guys ask about my stuff not realizing that they are women's. My all time most interesting question was when a woman friend asked where I had bought a bra.

Good story. Had similar ones myself. The best one was when awoman and her husband asked about my three piece outfit. I told them at the time I bought it at fashion bug. It was a yellow silky blouse that looked like a jacket, white spaghetti strap silky tank top,and a black skirt with yellow flowers. She said it was a die for outfit. But alas fashion bug is gone now. But it was nice that the young girl was polite. Times are changing for sure which is a good thing. Hope you have many more times like that

Yeah so, um, this happened to me last night... Was out and about without my wife...
I went to a local gay bar hoping to meet some sisters. Sadly I was the only tg there.
    But I still had fun...
Anyway I a sitting alone at the bar when a GG who was a chair down from me asked me where I get my dress. She said she loved the pattern. I shared some info and then complimented her on her handbag.
    It was nice.
