    CDing in correalation with emotions?

Even though I am genetically male, I feel as though I am more emotional than what may seem acceptable for being a male. I cry from movies, lost relationships. I tend to get overwhelmed with compassion to the point I try to feel others pain.

Do you consider yourself more emotional than average males?

If so, do you think there is a correlation between your emotions and crossdressing?

I always cry during emotional movies. I got horribly depressed during the last two times girls rejected me. If I had pints of ice cream, I'd have gone through them.

I may genetically be a male but I feel more at ease when I think of myself as female. Like far happier...

    I'm such a girl.

I have to say the same as miss Danielle.
I have been always more comfortable thinking of my self as a female. Even the clothes are more comfy and give me peace.

I don't know if there is any correlation but yes, absolutely I am more emotional than most males.
I've always been like this and I suppose that's why I've always felt out of place in the "macho" world.

Oh me too, for sure! I love romance novels also, and I always smile when I see a baby. I really wish I could be a mother. Cone on, genetic researches, get busy! This girl needs a baby soooooooooooooooooooo bad!

    Yes,
I am the same, cry from movies, things on t.v., and even sometimes when I see something that is touching and a happy situation on t.v. or real life. I really do think that it is my female side of me. And I am glad that I am like that too.

Since you are asking crossdressers, for those who answer positively there is a prima facie correlation. Some guys (CDer or not) are quite emotional, and some women are as cold as ice. For me, my emotional responses have no connection to my crossdressing as far as I know. But how could I know?

Its possible.. I'm a CD and I'm more emotional than most males..
It may just be that I think women tend to be more emotional, and I 'think' as I like to dress, maybe its 'cause I'm 'girly'..
Don't really know.. My wife likes me more for being like that..

I've always been emotional than others. Sometimes it's a big pain, but I work through it. To me it has nothing to do with dressing, its who we are.

^this pretty much says it all. I would have hesitated to add that last bit, out of fear of being politically incorrect and getting chastised by one of the GG's here.

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

I am abnormally emotional for a male. And I do think there is a correlation. Case in point, I teared up at the finale of amazing race. I didn't even like the guy who was crying and what makes it better is I got caught by the SO.

But maybe the dressing and the emotional responses are both part of who you are, and maybe stem from the same place. Who knows? Not me, for sure.

For me, the answer is both yes and no. Outwardly, crying and such, no. In fact, for a few different reasons earlier in life, my cry response is almost non existent. My wife actually feels this is a bad thing, as do I. But, it is what it is. There are times I really wish I could cry, but I don't. I can and often do come off externally as very cold. Internally, I don't know if I am more emotional than an average male, as I suspect internally males are as emotional as females, but show it differently, or not at all. I do think that my thought patterns are sometimes more like a females. I tend to over think. My thinking is more multi level complex. My wife has said to me on at least a few occasions, "most men do not think like you do. You think more like a woman at times." Quite a few have also said I tend to talk more like a female. Not as far as tone and style, but of substance.

I overthink things as well. What do you mean with regards to talk like a female?

I cried at a Facebook post yesterday while dressed... That would never happen in male mode... I guess the clothes open some different doors for me

Yes, and it also extends to intuition. Sort of odd as those are not traits that people usually associate with engineers. About 20 years ago I realized that I tend to solve problems by a combination of logic and intuition and not just logic alone. The intuitive part is not the major part of how my thinking works, but it is significant.

Maybe, but that's all I can realistically say.
