Most difficult things to do with false nails

I have been wearing false nails alot recently. I have had to relearn how to do almost everything. Making lunch, using zippers on clothing and using my smartphone are all so much more difficult with nails on.
What does everyone else find challenging?

They do make it more difficult to do almost anything. Picking up small things off a smooth surface would rank high on my list of most difficult.

I don't get many chances to wear them but when I do I find it very difficult to make a fist to even hold things tightly. I like that they make you use your hands in a more feminine softer way.

    Yes, everything!

The most difficult for me is taking out or putting in my contacts.

I only wear them when going out, so not too often hence I don't learn how to get used to them. They do make me feel feminine and constant reminder I'm dressed up and use my femme behavior!

It's been many years since I wore them. I remember the heartbreak of being fully dressed, and ready to go out, and I could not work the lobster clasps on my necklaces. Once I got out, I quickly discovered I could not open the little plastic thingies of milk that came with my coffee.
I've had acrylic nails for about 18 years now. There's nothing I can't do.
By the way- To undo a seatbelt, use the knuckle of your index finger.

Putting your stockings on. I have to be careful doing that. I have a pair of gloves special for that. I forgot where I bought them. Now I've learned to be more careful and it works out fine. No more stocks in the stocking manufacturers. Lol

Lots of things are difficult with fake nails. We don't get to adapt to them as they grow, they are just suddenly There! It takes practice going from short to long and handling small objects, not ruining stockings and so on.
But as bok4fun said, when there is an itch they are a god send.

Opening coleslaw or other things that come with a film lid welded to the hard plastic pot. I struggle to do that even without false nails. Oh and remembering I've got them on when I go to scratch that little bit of dirt out of the corner of my eye so I don't blind myself.

I recently got some replacement credit cards and a new debit card. The stickers they put on there I cannot get off. Gotta get the wife to do it for me.

    Cell phone, by far.

I often use my cell to text where I am right before a date, but since putting on fake nails takes about 10 mins. and I just can't type anything with them, I have to text "I'll meet you there in 15".

I had a heck of a time typing with my faux nails earlier this week - these happened to be medium length vs. the short ones I usually wear (Broadway Impress). On the other hand, my cat loves it when I scratch his belly with my long nails!

False nails make it harder because you just suddenly have length where you never had it before (and just as suddenly it's gone.) I grow my nails out (when they cooperate) and that allows more time to adjust. But I have to say that although I have to learn new ways to do things I don't find it annoying, I find it a fun challenge. And I love the tactile feedback when I'm typing. I even drum my fingers more when my nails are long just to feel and hear it. So, yeah, it's different, but it's not bad.

Had to relearn many common tasks: opening a can of soda, getting the seat belt released, getting clip-on earrings positioned and bathroom hygiene, to name a few.

It takes me a bit to get used to but I do get adjusted pretty quickly. I would say typing would be the most difficult to adjust to.

pantyhose or stockings, but as was mentioned earlier using gloves helps, just something else you have to do in order to look and feel more polished and beautiful.

I'm just thinking of the last time I went to Fantasia Fair. I had tips put on, along with a lovely French manicure. I had them done a couple of days before we headed up, and I'm sure I'd get used to it if I had tips or gels done regularly, but yikes!

I love the look and feel of false nails but don't wear them much due to difficulties they cause. Dressing and undressing and typing spring to mind. Such a pity because I'd love to use them whenever I'm dressed.
