    Camping

I'm looking forward to a weekend of camping while underdressed. Happy memorial day. 🌺

Have fun, but do watch the use of things that smell. Critters just love to hone in on good smelling things. Especially those black flies!
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken!

Are the Mosquitos still as big as birds out there ? If so, you could wear a tent of netting and no one would know you were dressed. Kidding aside, camped a couple times at Lake Itasca. Beautiful country, but the Mosquitos are huge by north eastern standards. We'll be camped in the back yard this weekend. It's 5 acres with a trout stream running along it. Enjoy. Also, want to say thanks to all the Veterans... Anna

Will not be out camping (or traveling) myself this holiday weekend. All, do enjoy and be safe.

I have camped out several times (solo) while dressed. Sneakers, panty hose, wig, short heavy cotton skirt, and flannel long sleeve shirt completed the look.

OK, kind of a "Paula" Bunyan look, I suppose! (But perhaps a little bit sexy, and certainly the long sleeve shirt helps with higher elevation chilliness.)

i go camping annually, and see no reason to not be dressed the whole time :-) I'm camping from 8th to 20th june in southern england, which will be relatively mosquito-free. footwear is the biggest problem - heels really dont work in fields!

I used to believe this, now I'm in the company of many tiggers. A tigger does not wonder why she is a tigger, she just is a tigger.

    thanks to krististeph: tigger = TG'er .. T-I-GG-er

I've camped en femme and it's wonderful provided your camp location is appropriate. Wouldn't recommend being out in the boonies if there might be potential belligerents around. Just sayin.

made me laugh. yes footwear. I caravanned a lot and several times found myself fully dressed and raring to go. Generally the car was beside the van so no problems but on one site quite a walk was required across gravel and cobbles to it. All stuff that becomes proportionally more uneven the higher the heel.

Ruined the heels on an almost brand new pair of patent court shoes. Not happy.

Something over the top may be best just in case there is anyone around

Eeek Mosquito's i was once attached on Galveston bay and the mosquito's were large and got two of us so good that we both were not felling well. We headed for home and stopped for a burger as those things got us good. I swear they had saddles on them.

Camped near the highest point (elevation) in the UP (Michigan's Upper Peninsula) one time many years ago. Was attacked by the biggest Black Flies I'd ever experienced, and Deer Flies, etc. Hung a sticky fly catching strip inside the camper.... not much help. I think that the nearest weather service recorded about 105 degrees F. Likely a high temp. record to this very day!

Another time... traveling across Canada. Perhaps after crossing from Alberta into British Columbia, I found a remote campsite in the mountains. Hung up the solar shower that had been heating up all day. OK, the skinny of the following open air cleansing: every mosquito for miles around found me in just a few seconds and dive bombed in unison. Too bad U-Tube did not exist in those days. A video of my antics washing/rinsing/swatting would have made a billion hits, with a bit of appropriate blurring in places, I suppose.
