    What do you do?

Ok, so I am in a reflective and curious mood.

Now that I have taken the temperature about going out, my next curiosity is what you do when out.

My question is directed toward CDs specifically, because (I would assume) if you are TG and/or living full time as a woman, the answer to my question would be that you do everything when out.

So, what do you do when out? What is your "go to" activity? What is your favorite thing to do? What makes you the happiest?

Interesting question Kandi, I guess for me I just enjoy being out, I usually go to the mall or find myself at Ulta and I think
I enjoy going there best since the ladies there are always so kind.
My second favorite place is prob any shoe place you can name, I love shoes and having those big size 11s makes it hard to
find my size. I actually have to hold back at buying shoes because I don't like paying a lot since I would only wear them
    part time.
As I said though I just enjoy being out among the normals feeling happy that I'm being me

I like to go to bars and clubs and enter into interesting conversations with people. Some examples, how to deal with women in relationships. I was dressed. The other guy talked to me as if I were just another guy. Met a young man that was studying my field in college, an unusual field. We spoke for hours on how to make a career of it. Spoke to a young woman about being self employed and an entrepreneur. Had a friendly discussion with a guy about Beatles vs. Stones. He was impressed about my take on the Stones and country music. Two lesbian ladies about the Walking Dead. Another to an older man, he was African American, a graduate of UC in chemical engineer, and one of the first black engineers hired by Esso, or Exxon Mobil today.

So far for me it's been mostly shopping and the movies. Been out to eat once or twice as well. Also have just been out driving around.

    I'd like to hear that!

I guess I didn't answer my own question. What makes me the happiest? Without sounding too much like Elf, it's smiling! Smiling is my favorite. I frequently smile when walking about and when people smile back it's wonderful! That makes it all worthwhile.

I don't know if I qualify but during the warmer months I enjoy farmers markets and roadside stands with home grown produce and plants and flowers. The winter months I mainly lean towards indoor activities and for some strange reason shopping for groceries in various stores among the women doing our weekly activities. I guess I'm just another smiling face(questionable gender) in the crowd. The happiest is when I'm brunching at an outdoor café/restaurant on a sunny spring day when the world seems new and clean. Food seems to be a common thread for me, I guess I'm food motivated. No wonder I have weight issues.
"you are a strange species and there are many out there;shall I tell you what I find beautiful about you ,you are at your best when things are at their worst" ...[ Starman]
It may of course be a bit disturbing to sense that one is really not so firmly anchored to the gender one was born into.

I'm not trans just a CD but I do everything that I'd do in male mode in female mode. I feel more comfortable in women's clothes and I enjoy being dressed. I go to the supermarket, gas station, mall, restaurants, bars and clubs while dressed en femm, I don't even think about it anymore. Going to bars and clubs I enjoy the most.

Yes, going out is so much fun...especially getting ready, what to wear, which wig, etc. My excursions out include, mostly of, shopping at Macy's, Walmart, etc. getting gas, walking in a mall for both for exercise and just being out, walking in parks. I'm the happiest when everything goes well. Thanks to my wonderful wife, I generally blend in quite well. Most of the time, my choices and her's are far apart (lol). "Honey, a pencil skirt with seamed hose and spikes don't blend in". I knew that...but. 😉 We live in a smaller community. Recognition would not be good. I've ventured out of town and walked into Starbucks for coffee. Yes, I was a little nervous, but all went well.

I shop for more dresses and outfits. A new pair of heels is always great and fun to shop for. However, I have also just done grocery shopping and find it amazimgly refreshing to do such a banal thing and not be noticed as I push my basket around the store like all the other ladies there. I've found it quite interesting when I am helped with my bags to the car by the bag boy.

I haven't done anything but go to a park and take pictures then right back home after a while. I'd love to do every day things and go to a mall and just walk around but I am not there yet and don't know if I ever will be sad but true.

Early on I went would window shop in the evenings. Graduated to actually going into shops. Been to the cinema several times, dined out in restaurants, stopped off in cafes for light refreshments. I must admit that I did find myself shopping for shopping's sake to some extent so I looked to do the "ordinary" things the muggles do. So I traveled by train and bus, took a taxi ride. That's the sort of thing I'm looking to do more of. To be out in the muggle world just doing what they do, in truth, things I'd do in drab and think nothing of.

I have done stand-up comedy en femme, but have ceased for now due to starting a business; that made me real happy when I did.

I go to department stores and adult stores to try on heels.
Not the stores loaded with porn; ones we go to have more clothes and lingerie than anything.
That is where I get to try on all the "extreme" high heels, which is the most exciting thing of all.

And it is easier in such places since SA's in those stores have most likely seen it all and have to be more understanding.

So far I have not eaten or gone out drinking en femme, except for at a friend's house, who is also a CD.

Melissa: "... and why are you dressed as a woman?"
    Coach McGuirk: "Because it's freeing."

Like Sara Rafael, my best enjoyment comes when I get into interesting, sometimes deep and sometimes intimate, conversations with complete strangers. Since I go out about 2 times a week, my usual routine with friends is wine bar, dinner and then another wine bar or piano bar to close out the evening. However, I also have two theater subscriptions (one Broadway musicals), 3 museums and the Academy of sciences in Golden Gate Park. I go to those places alone or with friends. I usual shop close to home, so that is normally done in male mode. However, I love to shop en femme because then I can really determine how well something fits, especially when I get helpful comments from the Sales associates.

If you are comfortable enough, you can do whatever you do in male mode when en femme, even if that means you need to go some distance away from your home area safe zone.

I love to go out to dinner with a few of my girlfriends and we usually end up at one of several local clubs. Of course, shopping is always a pleasure and I have even been doing my grocery shopping enfemme for the last few months. The Beauty Parlor holds a special appeal for me, and I try to have my hair, nails, or waxing done at least every other week. I am trying to do more and more daily, mundane tasks enfemme, they are almost pleasurable when dressed!

My friends wanted to go to one of the local tribal casinos. They have live bands, a large dance floor and no cover. I thought we would get hassled by the management. Was I wrong. From the time we arrive at the front door where we are greeted by the valet service, welcomed by security, and well served by the bar staff. I have totally changed my mind. We are now weekly regulars.
I guess the world is changing.

I'm a CD that can't pass, ever. But, I go out a lot. Primarily to T friendly clubs and events all over the country. It's fun hanging with other dressers of all ilks!

I find going out to vanilla venues dressed, to be pointless and stressful!

Highly variable. Runs from the basic "errands" to shopping, dining, seeing shows, whatever. I prefer to go out with my wife but that is not always an option. Interaction with the normals is always fun.

I guess it depends on how much courage you have to do some stuff. I mean if you have no problem interact with ppl and be out and about then you have dozen of options what to do. Otherwise your most "go to" activity will be trying get some courage and "go to" out of freaking door of your place, fighting your fear, as I do

In the 4 months or so since I've gone "full contact" crossdressing myself, I've gone out a handful of times. For the love of me, WHY I do not know, but it was interesting and fun every time.
Most of the time in The World was alone, strolling; maybe sitting at a table having a beverage or eating. Not much engagement, just on display. Even with counter clerks or retail staff (while shopping), the encounters are brief and most employees too polite to poke into your obvious business.

I had one waitress engage beyond small talk. I was seated [in dress] at a curbside sidewalk cafe table. On the first pass she practically acted like I was invisible. I had to put her at ease when she came back, assuring her "Yes dear. I'm a man in a dress. You may laugh, you may ask, but don't call the cops." At that she talked a bit about some of her LGBT friends (why do they lump it all together?), and told me my dress was beautiful. She bought my wine for me; and I had a great time with very fawning personal service.

Another long encounter was on a long bike trip and I was staying at a wine country B&B. That evening I dressed; my favorite long blue dress, heels, etc.; limited make up but no wig (wore nice silk headscarf). Met a woman in the back courtyard, a bricked in patio. She was alone in the space and I invited myself to sit with her, and she welcomed me (never taking her eye off the 6'3' man in the dress). She was married, on a weekend wine taste with her husband (upstairs). We shared a bottle of red, and I bummed a smoke (try not to resurrect a bad habit). We talked for over an hour about our families, jobs and what brought us to that place. She was indeed curious about my female identity and what was going on inside my head. But she was REALLY interested in war stories from my flying career, so I spent a bit of time spinning sea stories.

Lastly, I began my last shopping mall trip with a visit to ULTA for a make over. It was fantastic. If you're wondering WHAT to do during your expedition into The World, do that. Go to Sephora, your MAC counter or ULTA and do a make over.

My future plans for going out - the next 'unauthorized' mission - are to be a bit more casual. Just go about my daily business DRESSED; not just shopping trips etc. I like the idea of movies. It would be nice to have a partner (in madness) or escort, but that's a whole new step forward. I have 10 days home-alone in January. I need to think about this.
There resides within me a Woman, and she is powerful.
She has been my Grace and Bearing on the stormiest seas.
I could no more deny Her than I would my own soul.

Wow, these adventures are too bold for me. And honestly I don't think I have ever seen a CD out, except for in Provincetown, MA. I have started looking more closely. I even find myself looking at GGs and saying "that one could be a man". Then they seem more attractive for some reason

In fact, everytime I dress it makes all women I see, well the vast majority, more attractive. I guess I appreciate them more knowing the effort

Like so far this week? Sunday afternoon and evening, out with my wife and our gg bestie girlfriend, movie matinee, dinner at a nice Asian fusion place. Monday out with my wife to an art exhibition and lunch, then thrifting at Goodwill (she got a purse, I got a blouse). Tuesday, all man all day, dentist and Home Depot, at evening lounge around in lingerie. Today, office girl here at home. Tomorrow, tra-la-la.

The gg both say I'm blending pretty well these days, I've smoothed out my wardrobe and am doing my best to dress my age, check my new avatar.

great question I always wonder what I should do. It is usually the mall occasionally a movie, sometimes just a walki in the park. Bars at night are phone usually gay or
t-bars. i would love to go to a show or a fancy restaurant. On my next outing maybe a museum would be fun

I do nearly all of my shopping, errand running, etc. while presenting as a woman. I also meet a friend for coffee and bagels about once a week. I also like to go out to dinner but lately, due to circumstances, I have not done that as much. I also enjoy going to concerts.

In other words, I do not really have a special "go to" activity. I am just happy being out and about.
    Hugs, Carole

I just like to chill out. Maybe grad some food or shop around. I like sitting at the park too.
