If your WIFE "don't [sic] like me wearing her panties at all not to mention her lingerie", why do you do it.

As a possible wife/SO, I have NO problem with a husband/SO CD, but PLEASE get your own clothes. I could forgive the hiding a secret as being a CD, but wearing my intimate wear would deeply piss me off.

Crossdressing is neither a hobby or lifestyle choice for me.

I had no choice in the matter. I was born this way as a famous singer once sang.
Don't Take Life To Serious, It's Only Temporary

    CHOICE
It is often wrongly assumed that a person chooses to be transgender and one day decides they want to live the remainder of their life as transgender .This couldn't be further from the truth. Transgender is established sometime during pregnancy, probably in the first three months and certainly well before an individual is able to make a choice.

This post and responses reminded me of the song: Simple gifts. These are the first lyrics:

'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free
'Tis the gift to come down where we ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.

I agree with many. It is not a hobby for me. I am not to sure it is a lifestyle if there is one. It is definitely who I am and I love every part of it.

For me, it's just something I do to relax. Definitely not a 'lifestyle' more of a hobby but I've never thought of it as a 'hobby'.

Hobby. It's fun at times but it doesn't dictate who I am.

I don't think of it as a hobby. It's probably a lifestyle thing, but a suppressed one due to family and social/society pressures and prejudices.

Neither a hobby nor a lifestyle for me too! Just like how wearing jeans or kakis when I'm a man is neither a hobby nor lifestyle either. I just like wearing a more diverse set of clothing he he he.

For me, it probably started as a form of stress relief, as at the time I worked in a high stress job, and when I got home, around 3 hours before the 2 girls I shared a house with, I would dress in their clothes and makeup just be a different person from the stressed out guy I was. Add a glass of wine, and after a short time, I was relaxed and in a different place to work.
I eventually left that job (yay) and left the house with the two girls (boo), but despite now having to pay for clothes and makeup, enjoy life so much more.
I still catch up with the girls, and just occasionally they are wearing a dress that I have worn in the past. We both must have good taste.
