Just Like a Woman
Not a movie but in season 2 of Twin Peaks David duchovny plays an FBI agent who shows up dressed like a woman, wig and all. The only mention of it is agent cooper saying "you're dressed like a woman?" And he says " yes, for now." And that's it, it's never mentioned again and he's treated like any other person. It's great.

Triple Echo is one of my favourite films, there is also Breakfast On Pluto with a superb performance by Cyllian Murphy. An obscure British film called Goodbye Gemini is worth checking out too.Originally Posted by Steph54

The New Girlfriend , a french movie
This. Loved this movie. You might find it easier with its French title Une Nouvelle Amie
I've seen the Trailers & I Love the Feminine interactions and acceptance by such a pretty Girl.
" Triple echo" was very depressing and dark , sorry I did not like it . "Boy meets girl " is positive and uplifting with a wonderful performance by a beautiful young trans woman !
It is, but superbly acted. Anything written by H.E. Bates is NOT going to to get you laughing.

I have Triple Echo on VHS tape. It's a bit of a rarity, took me years to track it down.
A more recent movie (on Blu Ray) that I like is a German film called Rubbeldiekatz, sort of a variation on Tootsie, very fun and recommended.
Other VHS rarities that I have are Operation Fred, a.k.a. Our Miss Fred, a British film starring Danny La Rue, and the sci fi film Synapse, a.k.a. Memory Run which isn't a crossdressing film really, involves a cross-gender surgical body/brain swap. And of course, Just Like A Woman.

Neither movie nor television, but radio. Radio 4 broadcast a comedy, called The Change, from 2001 to 2004. It starred Christopher Ellison, who played tough DCI Burnside in The Bill, as transvestite who comes out to his wife played by the late Linda Bellingham. I think some episodes are currently available on BBC iplayer.

There was an excellent performance by Sean Bean (of all people!!) in Accused - Tracy's Story, shown on UK tv where he played a cross dressing gay (or bi) teacher.

Now another question for the slightly older U.K. Girls. There was a black and white tv show about a young man who worked in a bank and comes out as a cross dresser. There is a scene where a priest is called in to council her but says he can't help and leaves quickly because she is not a cross dresser but transgender Anyone remember this?
There was a major crossdressing role in Dallas Buyer's Club. The television series Son's of Anarchy also had a crossdresser in several episodes.
