It's "Boy Meets Girl", an English 4 part television series that was screened on the ITV channel in 2009, Krisi

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boy_Me...009_TV_series)

    It's available on Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Boy-Meets-G...boy+meets+girl - but it's possible that it's only a region 2 release

This. Loved this movie. You might find it easier with its French title Une Nouvelle Amie

What annoys me with transgender movies is when they get an actual genetic female to play the transgender person, it just ruins the meaning of the whole movie.

I saw the premiere of that film in Philadelphia, and Adrian Pasdar, who is from Philly, was present at the screening.

Dressed to Kill perpetuates some pretty pathological TG stereotypes, that we're all potential psycho killers, and Mascara is pretty much universally panned critically other than as a campy example of sleazy Eurotrash exploitation of TG titillation, so I'm not surprised that they're not on anyone's hot list. I see enough poor media treatment of TG issues and characters in real life.

I am a huge fan of the film - The Skin I Live In with Antonio Banderas - a superb film and a great story line. I also have the book on which ot's based which is good but a bit darker. P.S. Not for anyone who can't cope with subtitles.

I just finished watching the 6 episodes of "Boy Meets Girl" wow what a show, only gripe I have is that it only lasted 6 episodes, I think it could have gone on for a few seasons even if there were only 6 episodes each season.

" Triple echo" was very depressing and dark , sorry I did not like it . "Boy meets girl " is positive and uplifting with a wonderful performance by a beautiful young trans woman !

It is, but superbly acted. Anything written by H.E. Bates is NOT going to to get you laughing.

    Hell-o Steph,
I haven't seen Con Air listed???
Not that there's a CDing plot to the movie, but...
The first thing this escaped convict needs when he
gets his feet on the ground is a dress.

I remember seeing one on either Netflix or amazon prime called something along the lines of Killer Drag Queens on Dope. I really don't remember much about it apart from it being pretty poor, but it may be something to watch after a few drinks (or indeed dope if that's your thing). If it's still there, of course! Like I said, don't expect a masterpiece!

It's not a movie, but I remember seeing a music video for Slipknot's song "Snuff" once that featured a cd/tg person very prominently, believe it or not.

I haven't seen the film yet, but "Confessions of a Womanizer" is getting a lot of attention, particularly because the actor Kelly Mantle, who plays a transgender prostitute in the film, is genderfluid and was nominated for an Oscar as both Best Supporting Actor AND Best Supporting Actres.

Also, shouldn't every John Waters film featuring Divine be on the list? I see "Polyester," "Hairspray," and the incredible documentary "I Am Divine," but where's "Mondo Trasho," "Female Trouble," "Multiple Maniacs," and of course "Pink Flamingos?"

Finally, Allison's post reminded me of an extremely emotional music video released recently by Arcade Fire for their song "We Exist." I loved the song the second I heard it, but when I saw the music video, it brought a whole new dimension to it that was so hard hitting that now I can't even listen to the song without getting chills.

    Hell-o again,
Reading the thread about substance abuse got me thinkin'...
I came across another classic that may have been forgotten.
(Anybody that knows these movies may have good reason to forget!)

From the looks of these lists, I am going to be in a binge watching session in the near future. Thanks.
