    First time...

No, not for dressing (silly person, if you know me at all)

I went through a drive through for iced coffee today, and had the guy at the window say "I love your nails!" and "They go great with your outfit!"

I'm used to getting that from GGs at the register all the time, but this was a first.

It made me a happy Moose }:>

I'm guessing he's a closet dresser, gay, or on drugs.

The guy at the cash register at Home Depot complimented me on my nails the other day, too. He said I "pull it off well." Not sure exactly what that means, but I'll take any encouragement I can get. (Women comment on my nails quite often, but guys not so much.)

    Hell-o M&M,
Yepp, those compliments on our presentation while out and about
are sooooo uplifting, who wouldn't want more of that!

My last trip out with Jen, one of our waiters struck up a conversation
with me about the wine I had chosen. He started telling me about the winery,
yada-yada....when I told him I was a personal friend of the winemaker his face
lit up with a smile. He returned with my wine in what he called a "celebratory glass"
(with an extra large pour) I forget the exact words he chose as he handed it to me...
but it was something like, "just because you're so wonderful".
I could t help but wonder if he was one of us.
I know there are admirers out there, and I've met a few, but I didn't
get that vibe from this guy at all.
Who knows??? Just accept the compliments and savor the memory!
    Much Love,
    Kristyn
I smile because you are my friend, and
I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it!!!

Yeah, the world is getting better. There are more of us out there being happy and unapologetic and slowly folks are realizing we are not that bad. I know there's a tendency on here to say merchants are only nice to us because they want our money, but I find the random compliments to ring pretty sincere. They could just as easily pass us the coffee and chirp a random "have a nice day." They don't have to do anything more. (Sorry, I think I just soap-boxed. Didn't mean to that.)

    Good on you, Moose.
I am not a woman; I don't want to be a woman; I don't want to be mistaken for a woman.
I am not a man; I don't want to be a man; I don't want to be mistaken for a man.
I am a transgender person. And I'm still figuring out what that means.

A happy moose is a well groomed moose. Your nails must really shine. I usually make compliments to the GGs in stores and checkouts about their nails but I never get a compliment on mine. I'm always breaking nails on something at the farm. My thumb nail seems to be the fastest grower for some reason. Maybe the guy at the window is observant and like me loves longer nails that are shaped or one of us also.
