    Kelly,
The temptation might have been to discretely write a card saying , " For emergency use only !" and place it in the male section. Who in their right mind wants to read books on male fashion ?

So how many books in the female section did you buy Kelly, did you find anything on looking good in leather ?

    Hi Kelly,

As many as two books on menswear! Probably summarised by:
Clothes are available in a range of materials & designed to be as shapeless & uncomfortable as possible.
Clothes are available in a range of colours. Blue, black or white.

btw i really like your avatar with the dress that keeps changing colour!

My observation of the shelves pictured indicates to me that there must be a greater interest in women's fashion.

Correct me if I am wrong. :-)

Walk into any large shopping mall and every other store is ladies wear. You might find two men's wear outlets, one of them probably in the back of the sports store.

Men's fashion - get clothes, put on.
If cold add clothes, if warm lessen clothes

This has been my arguement with my wife for years. I have a suit that I had to buy a few years ago that matches stitch for stitch and every cut as a suit I have that is 40 years old. nothing changes. With women's wear there are choices for every mood a person wakes up with, even with underwear.

Can't believe i forgot to mention the wonderful colour brown

There must be a reason for the saying "Never wear brown in town!"

I Dunno, I practice and play dress-up in men's clothing all the time. The colourful stuff that is.
It helps me out when I want to flip a floral shirt and cream trousers into a floral skirt and cream blouses.
And I don't have to change my lippy.
No wonder people think I'm a Gay male (maybe that's next)

    Stacy!
STOP, Well I just dance the way I feel

Men's Fashion? Do you want fries with that?
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

Those books are about the same ratio of retail space devoted to clothing of each gender.

There is no single 'one' answer. That's why no one can find 'it'.
Some causes of crossdressing you've probably never even considered: My TG biography at:http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/...=1#post1490560
There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

It's as good an answer to the question "why?" as any I've come across..
