    Patience is a difficult virtue

Oh when the pink fog rolls in it seems to take no prisoners. But since we can't seem to pick and choose when it hits, we learn to manage it the best we can. The other day was my birthday and I'd planned to celebrate a big part of the day pretty. Unfortunately my son stayed home from work to care for his daughter who wasn't feeling very well. I had a good day, presents and free food and all, but there was something missing. Last night he took his girl to his ex and he went to work this morning, giving me the chance to wrestle with that old pink fog. So far it's won 5 out of 5, but the wait was worth it.

Be patient my friends, your time will come. Maybe not as quick as you would like, but it will roll in just like that pink fog seems to do.

Sarah, I could write volumes on being patient, so many times have my plans for some me time been thwarted. But sometimes it works the other way, tomorrow I have an unexpected dress day as my son is staying at his friends house for two days rather than the planned one!
    Here today, gone tomorrow....

    Patience is a virtue.
    Possess it if you can.
    Always found in woman.
    Seldom found in man.

The last two lines present a conundrum for this group.

I conquered Pink Fog forever. Years ago, I promised myself I would dress whenever the urge hit. And, I dressed day or nite whenever the Fog struck for about 3 months.

Ever since then, the desire hits predictably less! And, with much less urgency.

Patience. Sometimes patience is the key to victory. Sometimes it leads to very little. And it seems like it’s not worth it. And you wonder why you waited so long for something so disappointing.

Sarah, we all want patients, as the riddle presented by Laura. We are all in the proverbial conundrum when time is needed to dress. It is like me when I pray: Lord, give me patients and I want them NOW!!!

I have to admit this is one of those "Do what I say, not what I do" kinds of things. I've been like Veruca Plenty (I Want it NOW!!!) in Willy Wonka more times than I can count. It's just nice from time to time to have things work out and reward me for doing the responsible thing. Usually it's "No good deed goes unpunished" and I end up not dressing, not getting the chance and feeling miserable over the whole thing. So this post is a lot like when I post about a nice win at the casino, it doesn't happen very often but it's worth sharing.
