I have never been tested so I have no idea what it is. It probably has dropped since I am now 60 yrs old. I don't think a low testosterone level has anything to do with a desire to dress and being transgendered. I was gender confused in my teens and I know my testosterone was running high then. That was long before I ever heard the word transgender.

This question comes up pretty regularly. Here's a cool chart: http://www.healthline.com/health/low...e#adolescence3
Note that "low" for a male is still many times higher than the "high" level for a woman. As GretchenM notes, nobody has found a link between hormone level and transgenderism (though many have looked.)
I am not a woman; I don't want to be a woman; I don't want to be mistaken for a woman.
I am not a man; I don't want to be a man; I don't want to be mistaken for a man.
I am a transgender person. And I'm still figuring out what that means.

This is too close to my Adams apple theory for me to comment.

If you're searching for a reason for your desire to crossdress, low testosterone doesn't have that effect. Neither is it common among crossdressers in general, apparently.
Some causes of crossdressing you've probably never even considered: My TG biography at:http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/...=1#post1490560
There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.
