I posted this in another thread, but at the risk of offending, I am sharing it here also.

I went to a TG group meeting in Memphis a few months ago. Though most of the girls were welcoming, one insisted on belittling theists and those not agreeing with her politics. Oh, and kept on laughing when I said I was a CD, mentioning three or four times that night, "You'll understand more when you transition." The rest of the ladies were nice, helpful, and enjoyable to talk to. One individual didn't ruin the night, more of an annoyance.
Life is too short to be boring.

THat was my experience as well. Even though I knew all the folks there had a similar problem to my own, in the back of my mind I knew that they were all men, and I always had a strong distrust of males. I still haven't gotten past that. Add that to the way my ex wife turned on me, I fear telling women things as well. Leaves me......quite alone most of the time.

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.
