    Hope for humanity

I saw this web comic today, and many of the comments made be feel better about the future of humankind:

I'm not sure if this will link directly to the right comic, but you all will know which one I'm talking about!

If only real life were like the comics . We are making slow and steady progress..a long way to go though..still it was nice to see something like that in a supportive manner..

Thanks for sharing. Just keep in mind everyone has the opportunity to guide children to accept people who are different than themselves.

    I love it!
I am not a woman; I don't want to be a woman; I don't want to be mistaken for a woman.
I am not a man; I don't want to be a man; I don't want to be mistaken for a man.
I am a transgender person. And I'm still figuring out what that means.

Nice cartoon. Now you created the itch for more; I have to go dig into my Calvin & Hobbes books. That should waste a few hours.

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.
