Taking my bra off is the hardest. I know that I have gone back and it's over. There is always next time.

My makeup for sure. Once I have to return to drab, I sit at the vanity and start with the eye-makeup remover...all that work and effort to feel pretty, and it comes off in mere minutes.

For me, it would be the polish, followed by bra as a second.
I only wear panties anymore, and my nails are kept painted most of the time. My toes are always painted, and keep the fingers painted except for when I have client meetings, or my wife is struggling with it.
For the bras, I have unlined lace racer back bralettes that I can wear most of the time, except for with certain tee shirts. Now that winter is on its way, I get to wearing sweatshirts again, which means no worries about having the bras on.

The hardest part is just changing back when I have to.

    Going the other way?

    Five minutes or less. :-)

I crossdress for just a very short time, so i already feel kinda bad when my cardigan is off and i need to get off my beloved black dress, not to speak about my 20 inch wig and bra. As a beginner i still not have nail polish, and just a 'still bad' make-up

Like a few others, saying goodbye to my bra and breast forms are the hardest. They become a part of me on the weekends and it's so, so hard to put them aside... that most feminine characteristic of my transformation. (overkill emoji)

When lost, alone, or blue I know I can always get through the day, for I've always another shade of lipstick to make things right!

Without a doubt - NAIL POLISH is always the hardest thing to take off! I'm sure many of the girls would agree!

for me it's eye liner... no matter how well i clean my eye's there always
seems to be a small amount left behind. proof of this is when i think
i'm done cleaning my eye's i take a q-tip and go over where the liner was,
and there is always a black spot on them!!

bright or really dark nail polish use to be a problem, but since i started
using a clear coat first, it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore!

It would have to be nail polish (as I don't use make up). Simple, really; clothing can be whisked off in an instant, and I often enough change back to drab to go out to eat, or just answer the door for a delivery. So it's easy enough to change back. But taking off nail polish that I just spent hours putting on? Removing that is a feeling to me that I'm going to be in drab for a while. It's the ultimate 'going back to being a boy' for a while feeling, and it's a bit depressing.

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

For me it’s definately my bra. It’s always the last item I
take off. I wear panties only so they get to stay
    On.

For me its my heeled boots and hose.I have been dressed for 5hrs now in a black body suit, black skirt, black tights and my red knee high boot and my bra with home made forms and panties of course..(I just dont want to undress yet.)
The physically to take off?I would say pantyhose or tights when the SO come home and you are trying to undress quickly and wearing an ankle braclet over the hose.

I'm with you Georgina. But luckily for me, it isn't for long. Just to bathe, and change back into my girdle or corselette, panties, and sheer stockings. I wear at home full time, and usually wear under my male clothes as well when I am out.

I wear panties 24/7 but not when going to the doctors I retired in April and only 3 times have I put on tidy whites foe a total of about 8 or 9 hours so I'd say it is my panties that in the hardest to take of.

For me the return starts with the removal of my wig and ends with the removal of my bra and forms.

Must agree with Vicci. The transformation to girl mode only happens when the wig goes on. All traces of maleness dissapear with the new hair. Same in reverse, I'm back to being a guy with makeup on when the wig comes off.

I have the same problems Paula and i agree, when you do your nails, using a clear coat as the base coat, it makes it so much easier to come off, no polish left in the cracks and no staining of the nail. this is a MUST, unless of coarse you never take it off lol

For me, it's the wig. I'm just a guy from that point on.

    So sad!
