Last night I attended a "ladies' dance", with the theme, "Dancing through the decades". It started at 5 PM with 50's music, then each hour advanced a decade, 60's at 6, 70's at 7, 80's at 8, and 90's as the dance ended at 9. I arrived in a 50's poodle skirt outfit and changed my attire at the top of each hour to match the music. We had about 50 ladies there, and my costume changes were a real hit, with everyone taking pictures of me. The poodle skirt and the hippie bell bottom pants (and hippie accessories - the glasses, flowered headband and flower to hold) came from a costume store, but everything else came from my closet! And I had every bit of it before they announced the theme for the dance. Needless to say, I had a LOT of fun!
1950's : Pink Poodle Skirt, simple white half-sleeve blouse, white bobby socks, black Mary Jane's shoes with 2" wedge heels, plus a white sweater (which I took off and used to hold my chair).

1970's : Flower Child / Hippie Chick - Floral print bell bottom pants, brown suede fringed boots with 3" heels, white peasant blouse, brown suede fringed leather fest, flowers in my hair and in my hand, and rose-tinted round-lens glasses.
1980's : Disco Queen - Metallic silver midi-skirt, black blouse with tons of sparkly silver studs, 5" black stiletto heels.
1990's : Casual attire - Red tank top that fit like it was painted on, blue jeans, and black sneakers with disco-style light-up soles (Hoverkicks).
