Definately all or nothing! Makeup, wig, nails, and hairless. From there bra and panties but maybe a dress, or a,skirt, or pants. All my girl shoes are heels.
Bedtime will be a cheap wig but decent looking, same makeup and a nightie or baby doll.
For me, what's the point if I don't try to look my best?

I'm Becky. For me it's all about feeling like the girl I am rather than trying to look like a girl I can't be.

    Hi Becky,

I'm one of those that falls somewhere in between. I underdress daily to maintain my sanity but when I have the opportunity to fully dress them it's all or nothing. Pads, forms, corset, full makeup, wig, nails - the whole nine yards.

i'm probably a combination of both...
at home, i am a Becky type. just wanting to "feel" enfemme with little or no make up
    and a very casual look.
but when i go out, like my poker game i'm an "all in" type of girl and a Nikki type...
not only do i want to feel enfemme, i want to look the part.
i have to be dressed from head to toe, hair, nails and make up spot on, jewelry, the whole nine yards.

I'm alternately both. It's been a long road and after I noticed that the two dimensional images were extremely impressive, in video I still walked like an ape and appeared to be a man with too much makeup.
So when I'm not going for a particular look I find that minimal everything works wonderfully. Passable is mostly attitude and the fact that no one really cares anymore.
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

I am sort of andro right now! Male look is with nail polish and bottom half is feminine jeans and shoes(flats or sneakers)with male tee shirt on top(embellished)! At night, feminine sleep shirt and panties. If I am en femme it is all the way! Just being me! Hugs Lana Mae

I agree with Nikki. Anything less, and I’m just a MIAD, and it doesn’t work for me.

I'm in the Nikki camp, all or nothing when I dress. But....if I was doing this thing on a much more regular basis there may be times when I would keep it simple (indoors only of course)

I'm a Nikki. All or nothing, full femme transformation head to toe. I love makeup, and love TO make up, emphasizing eyes and lips. In many of my posts I refer to my "dressup sessions". A few hours of dressup fun and excitement. Session dresser, not a lifestyle dresser. Not a girl, but a guy who likes to dress up at times.
When the session is over, it all comes off. I don't sleep en femme.
If the Byrds were Nikki-type CDers, they would have added a verse "A time to dress up, a time to sleep ...", but that's not in Ecclesiastes. Invoke poetic license and add it. ha

I'm a Becky. I like being feminine all the time, whether casual clothes or nightgowns at night. But it's nice to be Nikki from time to time!

I don't need makeup or even need to be wearing a single article of women's clothing to feel feminine.

Drag or drab, I am still me.

I'm more of a Becky. I underdress always to maintain the connection with my inner femininity and dress andro in my daily life (i.e. almost always in women's jeans and shoes or boots). My daily work wardrobe is male other than women's mostly andro-looking ankle boots. I have a fair start at a makeup kit, but have only dabbled with it. Makeup just doesn't feel necessary to me. It's definitely about the feel more than the look.

Well, I'm "Krisi". I don't wear a lot of makeup (neither does my wife or most of the women I know) but when I become Krisi, it's all the way. Wig, boobs and butt. Sometimes I dress casually, sometimes more dressy. I don't sleep as a woman for several reasons.

I to am somewhere in the middle. If dressing at home then definitely no makeup. Wig and forms and depending upon just how much time I have, corset and hip/bum padding.

If heading out then even that can be a two stage process. Daytime shopping etc. then padding, corset etc. Usually flat shoes/boots but makeup will be as light touch as possible. If going out in the evening to dine or socialise then heavier makeup, especially around the eyes and it goes without saying, heels.

I'm a Nikki, but with a girl next door aesthetic. The main thing is that I try to dress age and event appropriate. Nothing would get ME clocked faster than trying to look like a college girl or in a mini and stilettos in the mall. There's nothing wrong with any of that, but I have to present "as if" as much as possible since to me what matters is blending in and presenting as a woman. But yes, always with a little Nikki Windsor glam

It used to just be about the clothes....but as time has gone on, the clothes and the makeup are still important....but it is more just me now. More and more female at heart.

I don't know if this qualifies as "all or none': usually minimal makeup unless I've got an extended period to stay dressed, but fun-on women's clothes, wig, forms and all. Usually a little lipstick is all I have time for. While I love to do the full make up and eyes, usually don't have time for it

As it is wath many threads like this, it seems to me that it comes down to the reason that one likes to dress. I'm in the Becky category since I'm into the feel of the material against my skin and do try to avoid mirrors at all costs. I don't want to be a woman, don't want to pass and I don't need anything other than the feel of soft nylon and lace against my skin.

I might get banished forever for saying this but if guy's clothing were made out of the same materials, I'd probably be OK with wearing that. But since it isn't, I'm also OK with the occasional nightgown, baby doll pjs or a leotard & tights from time to time.

Some really great responses, thanks everyone. At times I do love to be a Nikki and take a lot of care and attention to my look when I go out and even on occasion dressing in. But to again highlight an interesting difference between Nikki and Becky. My 2nd most recent outing involved going shopping at a huge centre across the city from my house (my avatar picture in a blue top and my woman's jeans). My outfit was selected with blending in mind. I suspect Nikki does not even own woman's jeans and is a skirts or dresses only Gal.

Well I'm also named Nikki so I need to stand up for a fellow Nikki. At least once a week I like to go all out and GO OUT. Most times at home though I just dress casual, leggings or a skirt, no make up or wig, bra optional and that makes me happy also. I guess that makes me a "Beckki"

This has opened my eyes a little. I've always told myself (as someone who wants to develop my dressing), that I would need to go all the way with makeup etc if I was to do it properly. What ever properly may be to myself...it's interesting to see for so many of you it's nothing like that. I think it's something I'd play with but I can imagine me with a full face on so to speak.

I am like both. I love to fully dress with nylons, heels, makeup, and jewelry. I also like to under dress and find it just as satisfying. Sleeping in a silky nightie is fantastic,
