    Mirl's day out in SF

    Yesterday I went to my annual interview downtown with Project Affirm, a 4 yr study of the transgender population. Thought I'd share my happy pic after a day shopping and just having a great time feeling so at ease and in place.20180112_152530(0)v2.jpg

    My premise is that once we let clothes be clothes, and feminine or masculine behavior be behavior, then everyone can choose- rather than impose the requirement of being male or female for eligibility!

    Had no trouble at all in shops, sales people get that they are selling clothes to people who want them! Lunch, etc, same thing. Passersby either preoccupied or complimentary, some doubtful, but they get to think about what they care about and why.

    Phili I had to look twice and I love what your doing, I think this approach can really make a difference in how the common folk can accept us. I would love to be able to dress in a skirt, hose heels and my regular work shirt on top. We all should be confident as you and just be ourselves but in some places it's harder to do. I unfortunately live in one of those places. I just want to tell you thanks again and carry the image on.
