    Moved in

The last time I was on, I was getting ready to move to New York.

I've now been living with my Fiancee for a little over three Months and I'm so loving this decision.

It's been slow going settling in. But, I'm getting there. I have a LOT of changes that I'm taking in, getting used to, adjusting to, and setting up for.

So, here's a bit of an update of things since my last visit here.

First of all, we got my dog to the vet and it turns out he has heart worm and we have him in treatment for that. I've been a little on edge about that. He's doing fine and he has integrated himself into the routines of the house a bit faster than I have.

I've been able to transfer from my last VA Facility to the local one here. I feel like this has been a HUGE relief. While the care at the VA back in Mississippi was excellent, it was still a little lacking in the Trans Gender care area. I'm not knocking them, and I expect others to not knock them or the State of Mississippi either.

I've had quite a few visits to my new Primary Care as well as one of my specialists. I'm waiting on my first visit with my new Therapist at the end of this Month.

I had some cysts on my back found and minor surgery on one of them and I'm waiting on the rest.

I had my very first Mammogram yesterday and that was definitely an experience that I plan to post about in another thread.

I've run into some snags with my transition while here and I'm waiting on setting up an appointment with a Social Worker to get that ball rolling again.

My Fiancee was telling me last night how much she has seen me progress emotionally since I've moved in. I'm expressing myself MUCH more fully now and, quite frankly, my life before the move already seems more like a dream than a memory.

    Well, that's it for now.

I certainly hope the care you receive is as positive as I've had. My psychologist, endocrinologist and speech therapist have been better than I could have ever imagined. Womens health is also on the horizon. So far only only been stared at a couple of times by other patients, but all the staff has been courteous and respectful. I currently attend the hospital in Syracuse, and it is good to hear Mississippi's VA also provides excellent healthcare.

It really is SO much better.

Back in Mississippi it was more like I was in this strange stasis phase that wasn't going to go anywhere.

Now that I'm finally in New York, I've been changing by leaps and bounds. My Future Mother in Law had complimented me on how much more feminine my physique has gotten from the fat redistribution. All three of us have taken notice of the development the Girls have gone through so far, and I've been able to relax more into the Transition a lot more here.

The difference is So dramatic, I can see more pros than cons with moving to another area and doing it stealth. I don't hide who I am one bit, but it's very nice to be validated without having to prompt anyone.

    Patty:
My Primary Care Physician is in the Women's Clinic at the Northport Hospital, My Endocrinologist is in the Manhattan Hospital, My Primary Therapist is at the Bay Shore Clinic. I'm still waiting on my first appointment with my Gender Therapist. Every place I've been so far has been such a wonderful experience. The Receptionist I saw at Mental Health Services in Northport when I was setting up my Therapy saw me again at the Bay Shore Clinic and she corrected another Employee for me.
