Stye a makeup tell

For longer than I can remember (2-3years?), I've had a stye on my lower eye lid. I've researched and tried the warm compresses. I've tried to squeeze it out like a blemish. But I don't know what to do. I have had to really cut back on eye make up when dressing, which bums me out. Eye liner or mascara seem to settle into the stye and even with makeup remover and swabs I cannot seem to get all the dark out... which turns up to be a tell that I've been wearing make up. I've tried putting a base coat down under the liner, but it doesn't really help, and if you use the wrong foundation, and get it into your eye... ow... burn, baby, burn. If I work too hard to clean it out, my lower eyelid gets irritated and red, also bringing attention to my eye, stye, and leftover color.

So I'm asking for ideas. Other base? Treatment? Post make up procedures or product?

GO TO A DOCTOR. Styes typically clear up in a few days. You’re saying it’s been there for 2-3 YEARS? Are you sure it’s a stye? Are you sure it’s the same one and you haven’t had recurring incidences? It it possible that it’s something else like a mole or a skin tag?

Yes, please see a doctor. You need to get it checked out.

I had one on the eyelid, the doctor froze it off, never came back, no blemish, was an office visit, cast abot $ 45 and insurance paid for it.

Styes form from bacteria on the skin and adding make up on top of that isn't a good idea.
You may have dead skin holding the infection in and thats why its not healing.
You may be like me and have an allergic reaction to eyeliner and mascara. You could try hypoallergenic products.
I would say go to the doctor or a skin specialist and get it treated properly because what you have been doing isn't working obviously.

Please see a doctor. But, I had something similar and did see a doctor, well my optometrist. She told me it was blepharitis.

Basically, the oil glands on my eyelids (designed for keeping the eye moist) were clogged. She gave me some wipes and instructions to wipe my eyelids twice a day in an attempt to unclog the oil glands). It worked for me!
