Stephanie...you do have me pegged...my proportions have gone to my head! And one last time before I let my measurements go (I promise!) I just have to share (one last hurrah) that I've lost a few more pounds and my measurements are currently 40x30x41...now, hopefully, it's out of my system. Since I cannot make myself shorter and I'm going to release myself from the anguish of always thinking about my proportions, I will seek out dresses that match my height and are less form fitting. I'll check out JCPenny...I thought they were out of business. No more spray dresses (well no more than those that I already have). Thanks for calling me out...your suggestion is in rhythm with Crissy's recommendation to relax. I'm trying...I'm trying really hard. Nikki

Nikki variations are the spice of life, in this girl's opinion you are too gorgeous to 'waste' yourself wearing what is basically the same same... i would love to see you in soemthing like this for example... i wouldn't dare suggest pants btw

Beverley, For whatever the reason (probably laziness in having to match blouse and skirt) I prefer dresses...I do agree that I should go w something long if I don't want to bring attention to myself if I go out.

If you want something that's un-body-con, try a caftan. No need to worry about size, one size really does fit all. It's the most comfortable garment I've ever worn. They come in all sorts of wonderful feminine colors and you can get one for less than ten bucks, new.

    Hi Nikki!!!!

Here are a couple of suggestions, see if you like them!!!

I got this turtleneck sweater/matching skirt at French store Orsay.

I think you could use something similar, with maybe longer skirt - this is the shortest - and black knee high boots! They would look lovely in your long, graceful legs!

This is a dress from a Colombian boutique, that looks a bit vintage, but it is not:

I was surprised that the horizontal lines emphasize the shape of the body, and does not make one look fat. But maybe I am delusional! The hairband makes it look more vintage, but you do not have to use it. And I have seen women use something similar in center Zürich, and in the old City, so it is not a hipster affectation

I am sure that anything you try will look great! Please please post some pictures?

    Love love
    Val

I myself only have a few dresses, a few black ones, two blue ones, and a red one.
I've found that, if you look thru some of my pics, that mixing a black top with a colored skirt works, in my opinion, great.
From there I just match some heels and I'm good to go!

A midi I purchased from JC Penny arrived...hideous! I'm sure a midi would look good on me and create a more "blendable" look but I haven't found the dress yet! Eerr...this is harder than I anticipated.

I'm a bit too old for a mini skirt...still looking for the right midi
