    A week at home alone

I have a week at home alone coming up for the first time in 25 years. My wife will be away and I'll have the house entirely to myself. Work is the only thing that will interrupt my dressing as I please!

For those of you who can't otherwise dress whenever you want, what would you do with a week at home alone?

    Hi Anne,

Do you plan to go out at all or stay home? Do you have the luxury of being able to keep some aspects of your presentation intact for the full week or does life dictate that you get fully back into male mode at some point every day?

If you're going out I would suggest maybe getting a makeover one day for a little pampering and relaxation. Perhaps a manicure and/or pedicure too. I personally would love to be able to get my nails done and be able to keep them on for more than just a few hours.

I would certainly be dressed and made up every day regardless of whether or not I was going out though I would try to get out and about en femme as much as possible. I would also love to have the opportunity to practice my makeup skills every day.

Do you have any friends who know about Anne? Perhaps you could meet up for a lunch or dinner out.

I personally would just like to have the opportunity to get out and would find some excuse to do so daily and enjoy every precious minute I had.

Whatever you choose to do I hope you have a wonderful time!

    Elizabeth

When I had those opportunities I was a woman for a week, I would be out and never home to any of my friends.
They always wondered where I had gone.

I wish I could do a makeover and go out, but my beard would not grow back before my wife got home!

I expect to be fully dressed while at home. I have gone out as a stealth MIAD (kilted skirt - nobody's business what I'm wearing underneath!), I may just do a little road trip out of town less disguised in more distinctly feminine attire.

I'd love to have some company, but I don't have any CD friends in the vicinity.

    Hi Anne

Congratulations on a full week of Anne time!

I’d be in Fran mode as much as possible during the week. I’d be in boy(ish) mode when i’d Have to be (eg going to work). But boyish mode would include underdressing (at least panties and pantry hose, maybe shaper and some padding, maybe a bra, all depending on the situation).

Basically, I’d milk the week for all I could!

Do you go out at all? If so ... go for it.
If not, maybe this would be a time to test the waters a bit — I’ve started doing small things late at night or early in the morning - go to the atm, bring down the garbage, get the news papers, walk the dog... all good. Being in Maine it will be cool/cold .. so bulkier clothing will be normal. It’s camouflage!

Whatever you do, enjoy your time
    Fran

When my wife visits her out of state cousin it is for a week. That's when Stephanie hangs her dresses and slips in the walk-in closet; lines her shoes at the foot of the bed; fills the armoire drawers with panties. Unless there is some necessary errand it is Stephanie 24/7. I do get out of the house during the evenings to fetch the mail and go for strolls. I also have the opportunity to sleep in one of my floor length nightgowns with hosiery. It's too bad you're bearded.

If I had a beard I could never consider myself "fully dressed". That's just me of course, but as a crossdresser, have you considered getting rid of the beard? Why do you have a beard? Why would you not shave it off so you could look like a female when dressed?

That's a different topic. My wife suspects that if I didn't have a beard I would get more into feminization and even going out. She's right.

Prior to me shaving my beard, I would wear an accordion type paper mask like people with asthma and go out for a walk around the neighborhood or in the park. When I realized how great it was to be out I ended up shaving off the beard that I had for over 30 years.

Starting Saturday until the following Friday I will have the house to myself for the first time in ages. I intend spending the entire time dressed, no work to get in the way and a guarantee of no interruptions, can't wait! I plan a trip in to my local city center and a visit to the park, apart from that I will play it by ear. Enjoy your week Anne.
    Here today, gone tomorrow....

What would I do if I had a week to myself? First Get my nails done and eye brows. Then get dress and go get a makeover. Being it's dark out early I would go to a show and dinner by myself. Then the next to the casino. Maybe to a art showing. Maybe the Zoo. I would find something to do and not sit home.

My job from time to time allows me to take extended time off. The longest I have been off is 6 days I believe. During that time, the desire to dress is present, albeit on some days, not as strong as others. Sometimes, I want to dress, but when I wake up, the desire simply is not strong enough. Sometimes, I have stuff to do that requires me to stay en drab. Of the 6 days, I might actually dress up once. I like to be dressed up all day, because of the time and effort involved, and i like to get out as well. What i end up doing when dressed is determined at that time usually. If my wife comes home and I am dressed, usually no worries, but she usually does not want to go out with me like that.

Enjoy your week. It took you 25 years for this one, enjoy it to the max!

Home alone would be ok, but about 10 years ago my wife agreed we would take a "girls only" vacation.
We traveled throughout New England for the entire week as 2 women. It was wonderful (except for the daily morning shave) and made me feel so much more relaxed with myself and the public.
    I don't wear women's clothes, I wear MY clothes !

I would make a commitment to dressing femme at all times at home whether I felt like it at the moment or not; panties/bra/forms, dress or skirt & blouse, heels, make-up. Toenails painted, fingernails too as much as possible without having to remove color to venture out, or leave on if I dared. Clear polish otherwise. Sleep every night in nightgown, chemise or teddie. No drab at home! Stay home as much as possible, but underdress in bra & panties at least if having to go out, change back to full femme as soon as I got back home. Keep legs and torso shaved, but I do that regularly anyway.

Well I dropped my wife off at the airport yesterday morning, and I wasn't even out of the airport parking lot before I slipped into a skirt. When I got home I got all dolled up, and except for "overdressing in male mode" at work yesterday I haven't worn a single piece of men's clothing since.

I think I'll go buy a wig this weekend, because someday (soon) this beard has to come off, and then I can really enjoy some time out!

    Hey there Anne...

That's awesome that you have this personal time to enjoy some "Anne time"...very nice!

I have experienced this as well maybe 3-4 times in my 24 years with my wife and I will have another few days coming up in December. One year I took the entire week off in March and will do the same in December, good times to dress as the climate is cooler. As I do not go out dressed and enjoy personal quiet time I prefer to do a grocery run to get me through so that I have no reason to go out anywhere. That week I had off I then took all my male attire and placed them into suitcases and placed them at the back of the garage. Then all the female lovelies were hung up, placed in drawers and shoes laid out in the closet. Dressing was then a normal, 24/7 experience including forms, footwear and some jewellery but no wigs nor makeup.

It is a great feeling knowing I could try on and wear whatever I had at any time of day based on how I was feeling. Sleeping was luxurious as well as I could wear a nightie or satin pjs and, upon awakening, just throw a robe over top and put on some slippers while I had breakfast. The idea of drying myself off from a shower and slipping into panties et al is another small pleasure as well as doing some everyday chores or talking on the phone while dressed.

The down side? Well of course it was when I had to calmly put everything away where it belonged the day my wife was returning. She knows that I do this and is quite okay with it all if she does not see it so it's a non-stressful exercise. I will be looking forward to my few days next month.

Hope you are making the most of your time and maybe trying something different.

So what did Anne do with her time?

8 days in a pink fog!

First, on Saturday I went down to Florence's Fashions in Wakefield Mass to get a new wig. I've had a few wigs, picked up from thrift shops, but I wanted to shop for one and find what suits me. Barb was wonderful and helpful. I tried on a waist cincher while I was there but didn't find one that fit me right. I'll be back to visit Florence's again on some weekend that my wife is working.

My wife has always been bothered by my having so many woman's clothing, and our storage was getting crowded. I'm a bit of a hoarder, and at the same time I tend to "upgrade" a lot of my clothing over time. I'll find a blue wool skirt with nicer pleats and a better sweep than my old one, or I find a better tailored blouse. The problem is that I tend not to get rid of the old clothes that these better ones are replacing. So I spent a lot of time on Sunday trying things on, getting rid of some old friends, scratching my head and asking "Why did I buy that in the first place?" and thinning my wardrobe by well over 2/3. I filled a trash can with things that were damaged or too stained (Why did I keep a bag of runned pantyhose?) and filled three big bags with clothes to donate to the Salvation Army (where more than a few of them came from!). I have the pile of hangers to show my wife proof of my efforts.

I had Monday off so that's when I started experimenting with a beard mask and some photography. I took a very pale pair of pantyhose and cut a tube out of the leg. I fitted this over my head and around my bearded chin. It took a few tries to find the right pantyhose and the right size. It did not hide the beard so much as it flattened it out so that I could edit it out later without chasing stray hairs. I then pulled out some outfits I had not yet photographed myself in and set up my camera and went to work. I've done this several times throughout the week. I edited some of the photos to hide the beard and wow was I ever pleased with the results!

On my work days I dressed in the morning as I usually do. I underdressed all day and as soon as I came home from work I changed into one of my outfits. I got lots of high heel practice this week! I tended toward comfort rather than beauty, my favorite skirts are calf-to-ankle length with lots of sweep. I have some sweeping slips that go well under such skirts, the overall effect is a swish and caress of my legs with every move. I did the household chores and after supper just settled in to read or watch a video... and fall asleep in my recliner (as I always do?). At bedtime I just stayed in my slip and pantyhose and other underthings, sometime changing into a more comfortable bra and more sleep proof breast forms. I slept really well, which almost surprised me and I was afraid that the consciousness of being dressed in these satin bed clothes would keep my mind too busy to sleep well..

When I was editing the photos I had taken I noticed what a mess my complexion overall was. Even a Tazz makeover just wasn't cleaning up my look. So yesterday I did a first (for me) I bought some foundation and other makeup!

I have today off so after my morning coffee I want to work. I read some advice on-line about makeup, so after a very close shave (leaving most of the chin hair, of course) and thorough face cleansing, I went to work. Wow, the foundation was easier to apply and looks much better than I expected. A little powder and blusher finished the work, covering the stubble where I had trimmed my beard. But oh how I hate that beard now! I made another beard mask and took some more photos. They were much easier to edit with the makeup and I was able to touch up on Taaz (I'm still working on some editing).

The rest of the morning I've spent cleaning up, as I head out to pick up my wife and visit my daughter and new granddaughter this weekend. I keep peeking at myself in the mirror, putting my hand over my beard and admiring what the wig and makeup have done - I see a pretty lady I've not really seen before.

I'm going to see how the makeup holds up through the day. I'm tempted to show my wife one of the edited photos so that she would see how "disguised" I could be and maybe I can negotiate the beard away.

I'm going to hate to see this day come to an end. It's been such a great girly time for me.
