Ever get super excited to wear a new outfit?

So this morning, I did a little browsing at a local thrift store. I found a cool, black Banana Republic shift dress. I am going to pair with a bright pink sweater, and then I found a cool, matching pink jeweled statement necklace. I think I'm going to wear all of it with black knee high boots (3" block heel) and black subtle fishnets to give it a little flare. What do you think?

I'm planning on wearing this shopping and for dinner in Seattle next week. I think it will work, given the trendiness of the city. Have you ever gotten an outfit that you couldn't wait to wear?

P.S. I got the dress, sweater and necklace for $8.66!

OMG yes! I do most of my shopping on-line and it is so hard when a new dress arrives on … say … a Tuesday, but I wait until Saturday to get all dolled up in it for when my wife gets home to see me in it for the first time

I absolutely get excited about new outfits and it sounds like you put together a great one. I thought I was a thrifty shopper but you really scored!

    Stephanie,
It's great to shop for an outfit when you know you have somewhere a little special to wear it . The Xmas party will be something special the outfit is already sorted , can't wait !!

Yes!! For my limited blk fri shopping--- picked up four nice tops, blk slip, two scarves, gray purse, hangars-- all for less than 20 dollars! Cant wait to get some more bulbs for the lamps so I can take photos!! Combined with the skirts & slacks on hand-- the new tops will increase "outfit combos" by 12 or more! Like most of us---was trying-on outfits right away soon as I got home!! Toni G..

I wear outfits and I serve lewks. Outfits are fun but mundane. When I put together a gag-worthy lewk is when I get super excited to wear something.

Of course silly! All girls long to wear something new. Why else would they buy it? What are your plans for Seattle?

Of course. Today, I received two new tops and a holiday dress. I was super excited to try them on!

Nothing more than I mentioned. I'll be there for work, and then I'd like to get out for some shopping one of the evenings and hopefully dinner after that.

Oh, for sure! In fact, if I don't feel that way when I try it on in store, I don't bother buying it. I just love how a dress or outfit can bring out an emotional response in me. I that's a part of retail therapy.

Micki has got me on this serving lewks thing. After too much time spent googling definitions, I still do not get it.

I know, a generational thing. Guess I will just concentrate on new outfits that make me feel "groovy", or at least "hip"!

If I've scored a nice pair of pumps at the thrift store while in guy mode I sometimes slip them on in the parking lot before driving home. Getting the guy shoes back on before getting out can be tricky if you have a smaller car. I found steering wheels are harder than faces.....

Not so much an outfit but shoes. I have very few shoes, maybe 5 pairs and 3 pair of them are sneakers. So it's kind of a big deal to me when I buy a pair of shoes. I need winter boots cause of all the snow up here, maybe that's what I'll get myself for Xmas.

I found a dress at our local GoodWill store that matched perfectly
With a pair of shoes that I had purchased a week before. The feeling was estatic.

I would always race at breakneck speed to try a new outfit I had bought.

If the anticipation doesn't kill me first!

    I love a new outfit , Who doesn't!

I'm waiting on some flair leg yoga pants and top, a rare online purchase which is still a day or so away. Just exited to be me when dressed!
