Oh we're all definitely on cctv everywhere these days, but ironically it's the sheer volume of data that's your main protection (for everything, not just CD). Nobody has time to review all that footage. If you've been out for 6 hours you don't spend 6 hours when you get home reviewing your security footage. You're never going to look at it unless you were burgled or something and the poor CD has the misfortune to walk by at just that moment. And for public security cameras - unless you happen to be standing in the background when there's a bank robbery *and* the footage gets reviewed by a cop who knows you *and* they recognise you, and, and. So yes toll booths, ATMs, they're all recording. But the odds are low that anybody will ever look at it. That's my take on the situation anyway.
