    Transition resolutions for 2019

Pretty much all my “New Year’s resolutions” for 2019 are related to my seeking full transition this year:

1: (Already done) Discard any ‘intimate toys’ which can only be used by a sexualy functional male. Did not own many anyway, but by year’s end they should be irrelevant to my new life as a woman. They went out with the first garbage pickup of 2019!

2: Legally change my name and gender marker to my new female name and gender identity, by no later than mid-2019. On track to start this process by the end of January, beginning with my driver’s license and birth certificate. Gating factor for starting is getting my “crown addition” hair system applied, on Jan 22, so my default hair, without a readily removable wig, no longer shows male pattern baldness.

3: Complete my medical transition to female by end of 2019. On track so far. 4.5 months into HRT, and mental health evaluations going well for needed letters of approval. Could begin by late August, once one year on HRT and living full time female is accomplished. Trying to get everything lined up well in advance, to minimize time on waiting lists. Completion date will depend on those waiting times.

4: Lose 20 to 50 pounds by late August. This will be the hardest goal. Need to join a gym for more exercise.

What are your resolutions for 2019?

Stop "accommodating" and start "fixing". It's not in my best interests to find work-arounds or temporary solutions for long term issues.

    Smile, love and trust more.

Make myself the number one priority in my life. Other things (family) can move up to that spot, but only temporary and by merit.

Personally I never make new years resolutions, that way I am never disappointed in myself, or pissed off at anybody else (if something I wanted to do was scuppered by something somebody else did for example).

This year will be a year of change for me though, a change that has been in the planning for over a year. I am continuing with my facial laser hair removal programme (monthly sessions) as well as going through due process at work (they have been in the loop since the middle of last year) on the run up to my socal transition starting in the week ending April the 12th, where I will leave work and return three weeks later as a woman, having had hair extensions put in, ears pierced, and crucially all my documentation changed over with my new name, pronoun and gender marker. As well as going to the GP to get my referral to the GIC and self referring to a private clinic (I will have been on HRT for 18 months before I see an NHS specialist).

Of course I will be dumping all of my male clothes that are any good at the charity shop, anything that is unsuitable will either be cut up for rags, binned or in the case of a few old t-shirts stuck in a cupboard with a pair of paint covered combat bottoms that I can use for working the garden and washing the car with.

It's going to be a busy three weeks for me but come may I will finally be well onto the path to the real me.

Ceera, I'm happy for your journey advance great and you have a wonderful horizon in front of your eyes.
As Melissa said, I'm not a year resoluter (did I say it right?)
Whatever, I think to have the idea that the new year "will bring" good or bad things or to decide for the Juan of the second hand of the watch to other that mark a new year is being so naive. Mho.
Something different is to plan goals, some of course could be long term, years. So.e middle term, this year and some short term this month but that's just to organize ize activities and fight procastimation. That's ok.
At my age I learn that life flies so fast so i don't lose time but I can't force it t go faster.
Your goal of weight. Gym won't help you to lose weiget
Just walk 150 minutes weekly (goal or resolution) helps a lot, more than that will Male your body to crave for carbs (sugar) and them you're in a yoyo diet.
You can lose more weight with keto. It's not for everybody it it has different versions include to gain weight and muscle mass without feed fat cells.
Keto is not just about eating but sleeping, hormones etc.
If interested I've been on keto for 7 years and in the first three month I went down from 220 to 175 lbs. Then I got into sustain, maintain and went down, slow to 156 lbs. HRT change it and now on 164 may be breast growth tissue as well fat relocation but the old Male keto life str must be adjusted.

Your other resolutions are subject to external influences so don't feel disappointed if at the end of 2019 don't work.

I'm starting my own business from last year but some external factors made me impossible to achieve it on 2018. That would let me move to a more independent place, a job where I can work as Vanessa so may be full time. In April, i will be one year on HRT so may be to think on orchie...will see if planets align in my favor (ridiculous right? But that was the thinking one day).
My two cents in your thread to spark more the conversation...
    HRT 042018; Full time 032019
    Orchiectomy 062020; gender& name legal changed 102020
Electrolysis face begins 082019, in genitals for GCS 062021
    Breast augmentation surgery 012022
GCS 072022; BBL 022023; GCS revision 04203;END TRANSITION
