Question What are your crossdresser MileStones?

I went to an all women store and tried on there way too small and short clothing but they have large size sandals that i got.

I perfected my makeup techniques to where I get mistaken for a full classy yet sexy female.

I entered an all women restroom without being clocked and did my business and not speak and blow my cover ( I don't sound feminine at all).

I got hit on by a lesbian stud mistaken for a women.

I was called pretty after I perfected my makeup by multiple strangers in the womens fashion store.

Getting a 24 inch waist so I have a Coke bottle like Figure.

My goal to look good and feminine in a Two piece bikini ( not reached yet).I look good in many types of dresses, trousers and skirts but not skimpy stuff like a bikini .

Finally, getting my eye makeup perfected. Loosing my belly so I look better in clothes. Going to Keystone or Viva Las Vegas.

Corn-gratulations, Bev. Always enjoy your posts. I mean really. All of them.

    -Ears pierced.
    -Wife's full acceptance.
    -Dual gender retirement
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
    Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!

I am NOT passable, I am very much an introvert, so for me,

Buying a girdle in person at a Sears store, (I thought my face was going catch fire), years ago.

Finding & joining this forum, which very quickly enabled me to accept the fact I AM A CROSSDRESSER, and come out to my wife, who loves me and supports me.

Calling and asking if the local bra shop, is open to serving crossdressers and getting a great response from the owner who said she has several male customers. She said that she thinks it’s wonderful that I am allowing myself the expression of who I am and that she would be happy to help me get started. I am going next week for a fitting and I am going to treat myself to several new bras!

    Achieved milestones:
    Accepting I am a crossdresser.
    Coming out to my wife.
Coming out to most of my friends and family.
Going out in the world (work, shopping, etc).
    Shopping as I want.
    Making crossdresser friends.

    Future milestones:
To have shoulder length hair (getting close).
    Pride parade.
To be able to go about my day not having to change for certain places or people.

I think pumping gas. Even more than going into a store or what not. Something about filling the gas tank, person 2 feet away on the other side of the pump, another 20 feet away at the next pump... Folks driving by. It just felt like such a "normal every day thing to do" that it some how felt like a solid mile stone for me.

Discussing it with my wife, her seeing me fully done, the first time I drove out the garage dressed... all memorable. But some how pumping gas feels like a milestone to me - because it's so "normal".

I was at a bar (Amstel 54) in Amsterdam last fall, on Sunday they have a big drag day, but it was Friday at about 7:30 pm.

However, there was an older couple from the US sitting at the next table. When they left, the man came up to me and said 'you look georgeus...', that was very nice. I was wearing a short long sleeve floral dress in dark blue with long sleeves and black heels.

    Hi Tracie,

Yeah!!! Those are some awesome milestones!!!

I am new to this so I don't know if I would consider these milestones but here goes?
1- Came to terms with myself that I need to get to know my female side
    2- Joined this forum
3- Started to take better care of my skin (with the wife's help, I still need to come out to her)

    Cheers,
    Robin

    Tracie,
Being out full time the crossdressing label no longer applies , dressing in drab feels more like crossdressing . I reached that milestone just over a year ago , I must admit it's one I never expected to pass . It makes the rest of the list a little superfluous .

If I had a milestone perhaps it would be standing in front of a full lecture theatre as Teresa to talk about my experiences with the NHS . A double whammy really , I'd never attempted public speaking before let alone doing it dressed and I also winged it without any notes , I still can't believe I did it .

1 Accepting that this a part of who I am
2 Going out as Nikki and interacting with the world around me
3 Getting ready and doing a good job on my make-up in a reasonable amount of time
4 Getting to a point where however I am dressed I fell comfortable and natural and just be myself.

No real milestones, but I am glad I still enjoying dressing, and glad I can dress on my own terms.

Ill keep it simple, I attended many events in CT.
Escapism isn't necessarily bad, but is definitely unhealthy in the long term. While helpful in the short term, things will degrade over time. At some point, the escapee will have to face the issue. Things simply blowing over isn't really going to happen in many situations.
