Definitely trying on outfits in the store and buying them. Even asking the opinion of the ladies around me.

-buying my own clothes instead of trying on my mom's
-getting dressed up for Halloween in college for costume party
-buying wigs, makeup, shoes for dressing entirely
-going out dressed to a crossdresser group meeting
-going out dressed to a crossdresser friendly bar
-trying on clothes en drab at the Limited and Macy's
-trying on clothes en femme at stores
    -getting caught by my wife
-going to dinner en femme (for some reason this is still difficult)
-reluctant acceptance by wife - I don't have to hide it completely - just have to have it out of her sight
    -flying en-femme or "pretty"

Been far too many in the years since 2001 and the first time Sophie came to life.

But in the last two years there been a few milestones, and quite big ones for me at least

Getting Nails done in nail bar
    Pro Wig fitting
    Dining out in "normal" Restuarant
Using Women's changing room (cant believe took me so long)

And biggest of all leaving from home fully dressed, and hopping onto train into the city, that was the biggest of all

No real milestones, but I am glad I still enjoying dressing, and glad I can dress on my own terms.

There are lots of little steps on the journey for me. From the early days of wearing mummy’s clothes shoes and makeup to buying my first clothes to now when I have a large collection of clothes and accessories and go out in public has been a long journey. The biggest step forward was going to a beauty salon and cosmetics stores and getting good advice on makeup brows and eyelashes. Buying proper bras and breast forms made a huge difference. Going out with women dressed in mainstream society and being accepted as a woman was another big leap forward. Although I don’t seek male company when dressed its nice when I’m treated as a woman even it it’s only to have a door held open. I never thought I’d get this far and am glad I did.xx

Wow, way to make a gal feel inadequate, ladies!
I feel like I have so little to contribute but some stuff I have done...
    Come out to my wife
Come out to a couple of friends
Shopped in RL for my own makeup, lingerie, women's clothing (in drab)
Gone out in hybrid mode, dressed male but with some makeup and female jewellery.
Joined an LGBT social group on Meetup (Though I've yet to attend a get together. I had to decline the last one as my wife had a cancer appointment that day. Far from ideal)
Joined this oh so helpful band of sisters
Asked for help from SAs with makeup, making it clear it was for me

    Still to come...
Well the big one is to go out en femme and I have no idea when that might be. It feels a million miles away right now. I know I wouldn't pass but neither do I care. My wife, though...

Several years ago I had a makeover about 2 hours away from home. It came out beautiful. I drove directly home and was about to take the makeup off when I decided I had to finally take the step of going out in public dressed. I had never done this before. I drove to a local supermarket. My stomach was in knots as I left the car and walked in. Nothing happened. I finally realized that my fears were of my own making. Thatt gave me the confidence to begin going out in public on a regular basis.

I want to wear a bra with forms, a garter and stay up and be with a woman for a long time, dining, walking, sleeping, having sex.
I want to buy a skirt and wear it, a mini skirt, planning on it this summer.
All of the things I wanted to do I have done
I also accepted myself as someone that wear feminine under clothing mostly.
I have told my wife that this is part of who I am.
Wear Panties in a plane across continents.
Wear Panties only, stop wearing men underwear.
Wear a Brassiere at an Opera concert.
    I have a short list

Manasi, Re: your post, how many lives have you lived, anyhow? I'll bet there are some good stories you could share with your sisters here.

Realising that I like woman's cloths and shoes
Trying on mum's clothes and shoes
Using mom's lipstick and later full makeup, including nail polish
Buying my own panties and pantyhose
Starting to wear panties and pantyhose under my male clothes at home occasionally
Buying my first female shoes (high heel sandals) and wearing them while home alone (also tried them on in the shop)
Buying my first miniskirt and wearing it at home (also tried it on in the shop)
Going out for a short night walk in a neighbourhood in the opposite side of town where I lived wearing heels with my male clothes (I done this a few times and it was really stupid and risky decision looking back, but luckily I was never seen by anyone I know or confronted by strangers). It was still the time when phone cameras didn't exist yet.
Going out during the day wearing black nail polish on my hands

Moved out of parent's house and started to wear panties and pantyhose under my male clothes all the time and female clothes while at home
    I bought my first wig
After about 10 years walking and dressing at home, I went out fully dressed for the first time (night walk in a quiet neighbourhood)
I was stopped by a cop while fully dressed (most nervous time in my CD life)
I visited female public restroom fully dressed for the first time
I went out fully dressed into a nightclub during Halloween night and interacted with people there
I went out fully dressed during the day in a neighbouring city where nobody knows me
I went out shopping in a neighbouring city party dressed (female pants, unisex Tshirt, female flat shoes, light makeup and unisex wig)
I was stopped by a group of drunk men during one of my night walks and verbally bullied (most scary moment in my CD life)
I went to a doctor office underdressed and have to take of my clothes during my exam (I didn't expect that, but it went well and now I can underdress ever time I visit that doctor and that makes me happy)
A woman I know saw me while I was shopping party dressed for female clothes. Either she didn't recognised me, even she said hello in the shop or she didn't want me to know she recognised me when I met her a few day later in my neighbourhood (very nervous few days, still not sure)

That's where I'm today and if nothing changes, I think it will stay that way more or less, because I'm not ready to come out of the closet yet and I doubt I'll ever be.

It's surprising how bold you can be once you are living on a different continent than your family, and you stop caring what other people think! I do write up my stories on my Facebook and was recently invited to contribute them to a blog (let me know by PM if you are interested, I can share the link)!

    xoxo,
