Last night, on the way home from running club, I stopped at a community meeting of maybe 40 people. The village is a crossroad with a country store and two stop signs, so we all know each other to varying degrees. My running shorts were drenched and heavy with sweat from a hot run, and they are old so the elastic waist band was weak. I wear panties most all the time and had on a pair of fairly plain white bikini style panties under the shorts. So I grabbed a beer and put my keys and phone in my pocket while standing around listening to the discussion, not realizing the weight in my pocket was pulling my running shorts down.
I stepped forward to offer my thoughts and my adult daughter and a neighbor pulled my arm and whispered my shorts were falling off. Sure enough, My panties were on clear display for the whole community.
I laughed and pulled them back up, not sure what would be said. But I got lucky as it looked to everyone else that they were seeing the liner of my shorts. The liner on those shorts is black, not the white they were seeing, but let them assume what they will. So it was a laugh for everyone but nothing else. If I’d been wearing panties with lace or a ribbon it might have been a very different story.
And I’m throwing those shorts away.

It sounds like it worked out ok so no harm no foul. Do your daughter and neighbor know and are understanding about it or did they mistake your panties for the lining of your shorts too?

Sounds like a close call, I am assuming with them being plain and white they could have looked somewhat like a mens bikini at just a glance.

I had a coworker one time bent over working on something when I came up behind and his whale tail was sticking out all bright and lacy. I walked up behind him gave him a pat and said let me do that, in a way that I knew he would straighten up and fix his pants, and never said a word and no one else but me saw it. Probably someone I could have shared some support with as I am sure I was wearing something just as fancy, but at the time didn't know how to approach it.

I worry about something just like that when I am at the gym, to the point I since my pants tight and don't wear shorts there anymore. Not that I care too much, just my white chicken legs and cheeks will be more of a trauma for people than any of my panties!

PANTIES, If Deebra had posted another thread on panties she would have been trashed again big time by many. And I recognize one of my harshest critics being O.K. with her thread on Mermaiden's post. I wrote a very interesting post several days ago that invited discussion about men wearing women's panties, bras, etc. but deleted it because of the vultures that circle overhead just waiting for Deebra to say panties. Hope the moderators and members pick up on this, how one is trashed and another .……….

Mermaiden, also a Virginian thanks for writing a post on panties, I liked it. I am wearing black nylon bikini panties now and KimberlyCasino you should start too. Studies have shown there are more males in Va. that wear panties than in any other state. Virginia's logo is Virginia Is For Lovers (and male panty wearers).

One of the potential hazards of underdressing is the potential unintended reveal. It may be bending over or an automobile accident. Any number of unintended revelations. Frankly, I'd rather see a guy's panty than the crack of his ass as in all those plumber cartoons. I know there are comments of negativity to panty threads and other repetitive issues. Don't let that get in the way of posting something. Just look at the number of views in relation to the comments. Don't take life too serious.

As to wearing a panty under my male clothes. I do it on occasion. However, I make sure the panty is either plain black or white and nothing frilly or lacy. I suspect there are many many men wearing women's panties. Just this week I was perusing the reviews for panties in the women's section of an on-line retailer. There were numerous postings by men. They cited the comfort of the panty. They cited the panty holds its shape better than their male underpants.

Mermaiden, thanks for sharing your experience. When I get up in the morning I'd rather read a light story or comment than some heavy political banter.

After all the years of wondering what would happen if I should get into an accident while wearing panties, the dreaded accident/panty exposure finally happened. Last summer while on vacation with my wife we were involved a pretty bad car accident that sent us both to the emergency room with various non live threatening injuries. While being examined for seat belt damaged to my upper chest and ribs the two ER nurses that were looking after me decided that it was time for me to take off my jeans. After I stated that I didn't think that would be necessary, they both at the same time, said "oh yes it is" and before I knew it my jeans were gone. Too many other more important things to worry about at that time but the fact is it can and does happen. Not a word or mention of any kind from anyone on the very professional ER staff that assisted my wife and I. Looking back now I kind of chuckle about it but in reality the situation could have been a little different had I been wearing a bra and something other than plain white Vanity Fair briefs. I over heard the nurses looking after my wife ask if it was ok to cut off her bra, to which she said "no". Luckily I didn't have to deal with that but I often wondered what it would have been like if I had been wearing and asked the same question.

I dress to my counseling sessions. On days I choose to work remotely from home, sometimes I put on some jeans and t-shirt of my wife’s and go there. The pants always run down and my panties show. Because it a small practice and parking lot, I always on purpose reach into my car or something to make sure the panties show. If someone has seen it, I don’t know but I’ve done it lol

I too thought it would never ever happen but I was hit head on by a drunk driver, lucky I'm alive. I was wearing nylon hose and panties and also went to the emergency room. That was several years ago. Went out today wearing black nylon bikini panty and girl shorts. Nobody noticed that I was girly from the waist down. Oh Well, guess I'll have to grow some boobs to get noticed (now wouldn't that be great!! And guess what the D stands for in Deebra).

My daughter, in her 30’s, doesn’t know. Only the members of this forum and my wife know the truth.
I was surprised no one realized I was in female underwear, but I think they’re Pre-existing ideas of me influenced their thinking. I do a lot of “manly“ things like using a chainsaw, driving a tractor, riding motorcycles, woodworking etc. ( yes, I know women can do those too). Maybe it was just too much for their brains to think I was in panties.

I was dropping off some stuff to a company one day. One of the guys had on a light weight t-shirt which showed a lace bra under it. I've wondered for years if that was some type of joke or he was just wearing it. They did business with us so I was at the company on a regular bases. Never saw the kid again.
