Sounds like you are, for now, a closet CDer. You also have a big hurdle with a non-supportive SO. You might have to take a work/vacation trip to another city.
Storage of you findings are going to be hard. If you have to box up your stuff, you might think of getting first a travel Steamer and or a steam iron. You use them to help remove wrinkles. even some T-shirts get wrinkled but can be steamed to remove the wrinkles. I personally use my steamer more than my iron.
Talk to us and we, collectively or individually, will try to help you in any way we can.
Maybe you will be lucky and find a member near where you are at that can help you.
Don't worry if your "local" contact person is an older person, it is their advice and experience that she will be shareing with you to help you in the right direction.
By american standards UK is much smaller the the USA. but still it will be a bit helpful if you give us a large city near you. I am near Huntsville, AL USA. (I do NOT live in Huntsvile).
