I think that it should be made clear in this case that the "Lolita" style refers to the somewhat neo-Victorian style that tends to feature voluminous skirts, ruffles and lace that comes from Japan, and not what most people think when they say Lolita, as in the sexualization of pre-adult girlhood.

I had to look it up. In my opinion it is a variation of "sissy" fashion. All the bows and lace, but like everything, there are different degrees and variants.
