Doc much respect for you an your tenure...but a question, why do you photo bomb this thread? Steffi I did a preview at Amazon...I couldn't get enough of what the premises is. Can you give a brief synopsis?
Escapism isn't necessarily bad, but is definitely unhealthy in the long term. While helpful in the short term, things will degrade over time. At some point, the escapee will have to face the issue. Things simply blowing over isn't really going to happen in many situations.
I'd offer it to your local LGBTQ support group if there's one nearby.
