Even if there isn't a formal group, it would be neat for an informal get together campout. Budgets are a thing preventing a lot of us from doing conventions, but a campground could be an informal, finance friendly, great time.

Life is too short to be boring.
We have a touring caravan and a couple of years ago my SO went off for 5 nights with an old uni friend to Barcelona. So I took the opportunity to take the van away spending my time enfemme.
I must admit that I found it at first at least stressful. Surrounded by strangers only 10 yards apart I did find the coming and going a strain. I felt somewhat exposed. It died off towards the end of the stay but all in all it didn't spoil my time away greatly.
Of course it would be different if there was a gathering. Strength in numbers.
Would I do it again? Yes is the answer to that.
