Wish I knew then what I knew now....

..I'd be five months into my first ear piercings without having to "'splain" to anyone at $dayjob.

I think that was the point, she has not had to explain why to anyone, unless I am reading it wrong.

I read it as she could have pierced her ears, had them heal and go to work with piercings but not studs.

Good for you! I would love to have pierced ears, getting tired of the clip-on, but I am still too deep in the closet for that. And yes they do pinch!

I suppose it depends on where you work, but why not just do it anyway?
In six months only two people i know have commented on my pierced ears. Neither of them were negative remarks. It's not an issue for most people these days.

(Steffi, that's how i read it as well.)

My barrier is my wife. She just doesn't want me to have them pierced.

I know so many males with pierced ears. These days most people wouldn?t think twice about it.

@SStefi 0827202 0429 nailed it. Had I done it ~5 months ago everything would have healed and I could go bare during work hours...

For those who say nobody will say anything about an older male getting his ears pierced, this is simply not true. Everybody who knows you will make some sort of comment. One friend of mine even got out his phone and made a big deal about taking pictures of my pierced ears while we were eating in a restaurant.

I told him they weren't earrings, that they were cell phone antennas.

Kat, I have been to work every day during shut down, and though I'd love to have pierced ears, its never going to happen while I am employed.
Please call me Jamie, I always_have crossdressed, I always will, "alwayshave".
