My muse gifted me with this short verse this morning and I wanted to share it with all of you, perhaps it will touch the heart it is meant for.
Melancholy day
filled with thoughts of what should have been.
Life's cruel joke
hiding me behind this mask of masculinity.
Will those I love and care for ever understand who I truly am?
Will be bright colors of soft fabrics of my reality ever see the light of day?
Wil the gentle kiss of understanding ever touch my soul?
Not sadness, but resignation that the time may have passed me by,
Perhaps had I been a child of a different time
focusing on the blessings I do have
life goes on.
