Since my wife left I have been suffering from HDD (Hug Deficit Disorder) I have gotten a body pillow and it is now not unusual for me to go to sleep or wake up hugging my pillow as if my life depended on it. Maybe it does...
I think it is a part of human nature to want to hold and to be held. To cuddle and to be cuddled. If doing what I do fulfills that need and harms no one then who cares what I am doing. I see no difference between my pillow and your rag doll. I hope that someday we can both find what we need, but until then hold we on to whatever gets us through the day.

I have a pillow that I rest my knee on to take the pressure off my back when I sleep on my side. My wife calls it my girlfriend. But the pillow really isn't my type, to be honest.
So much so, Steph, that if I were a female and my Real Doll was a male? "Intimacy" with it mite be frequent and satisfying!-----------------------------

U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.
Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!
An excellent movie - highly recommend it. Definitely not your everyday fare.
